A week later
At Castle DeDeDe
Meta Knight's POV.

"Sah. You've got a letter from... Castle...Olivia?"

"Castelolia, Sword. But I'll take it if you don't mind."
He hands me a letter with a fancy blue wax seal that depicts a tiny flower.

Definitely Augustine.

I open the letter, and pull out the message.

Dear MK,

My village invites you to attend the annual festival of art. If you wish, you can bring a piece of artwork or music to participate in this cool contest thingy.
(Hint: the judges' favorite colors are blue, green, blue-green, and green-blue. And they also like flutes, clarinets, and piano.)
If you aren't feeling up to that, there's a lot of other things that'll be going on that I'm sure you'll somewhat enjoy!
I hope you take this into consideration.
And stuff.

Sincerely,
Augustine

I stare blankly at the letter.

He forgot to add in how I'm supposed to get there or how I'm supposed to dress.

So I'll wear some fancy shoes and a bow tie.

And I'm sure he won't mind me taking
Battleship Halberd out for a spin.

*five hours later*

Holy Nova it's freezing.

Why didn't he tell me to bring a jacket or something??

Even as I'm in a well-heated ship, I can see my breath and the ice crystals form on the windows.

"S-sah, do y-you think th-that they'll h-have hot cocoa?" Sword asks, shivering with the rest of my crew.

"Probably. And if they don't, we have some in the break room but it's just way too cold to get some boiling water..."

I wrap my cape tighter around myself.

"Prepare for landing." I order.

As we touch ground, I try to figure out why I'm so cold.

A while back, there was a snowstorm or two, and I was hardly fazed. But this...

And you're telling me he lives here?

"S-s-sah, we're ready to g-go!" Sword says, with a thumbs-up on both of his gloves.

"Excellent... Let's get this festival over with." I mutter.

As we step out of the ship, it's even colder.

"Meta Knight! That you???" A voice shouts from across the hazy tundra and the ongoing blizzard.

"Yes! It's me! NOW COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO US HOW WE AREN'T DEAD YET?"
I shout back.

"Whoops sorry about that." He says, appearing in front of me and my crew.

"Augustine. Nice to see you again." I drone, loud enough so that he can hear me.
"Let's go." He says, gesturing towards what seems to be our cold demise.
