Terry's POV...

And like that, he's gone.

Bo's crest lowers as he growls angrily.
"Figures."

"Bo. Free me." DGK demands.
"Did you notice any weaknesses in that guy?" Bo asks, easily ripping off the chains wrapped around his friend.
"No. But he's probably got a soft spot for his company over there. Oh, and they're paralyzed at the moment. They can't really move." He says, turning back into a Star Warrior, and hopping off the board.

"Huh. Good thinking." Bo credits.
"Now let's find that slippery hooligan."
They nod in sync, and exit the room, flying down the hallway.

But no one is even twitching.
"Has the spell worn off yet? I ask.
"I still can't move." Augustine drones.
"...How long is going to take anyway?" Spruce says.

Fwoosh!
"Not long at all." DMK's deep voice bellows, as he warps back into the room, landing on the remnants of the mirror.

"Oh hi, DMK." Augustine says.

"I'm guessing it's like freeze tag. Ya know? The infamous childhood game turned into an advantage for bullying?"  DMK says, tapping my forehead. I immediately regain control over my body.

"Huh. I never really thought of it that way." I say, staggering forward.

"Yeah. And hey Spruce, you read both of their minds like I told you, right?" DMK asks while tapping everyone else's heads as well.
"Yep." My friend says with an expressionless face.

"Wait. When did you tell him to?" MK asks, now unfrozen. "I thought of the question, Spruce detected it using his powers, and he did what he was told. Like a good guy." DMK says, tossing him a bag of gummy candy.

"Ayy. Thanks." Spruce says, tearing it open.

"Believe it or not, but my luck actually did its job and I happened to warp into the kitchen. I quickly grabbed a bunch of other food for you guys too." He digs around in his cape and pulls out...

Something on a plate wrapped in plastic.

"Um... What is that?" I ask, pointing at the thing in DMK's glove.

"This is someone's lunch. It's too bad they left it there for the taking. It's also a quesadilla."

"A quesadilla? I think I've heard of that before. Usually in the restaurants back in Del, but I've never actually seen one. I was born broke, you see." I say staring at the thing.

"Huh. Well, I guess you can have it." DMK says, handing me the plate. It's actually quite warm. "Anyone wanna split it?" I say, unraveling the plastic wrap and tearing the quesadilla in half.

"That's... That's my lunch, Terry." Rosie says, gazing at the plate. "Oh. Still want it?" I offer.

"...Sure."

I hand her the other half and begin to eat mine.
I know I should be kinda scared of Bo and DMK at the moment, but life's being awesome to me right now and I don't really have time to be sad or wary. It's been nice to have a few friends to hang around with, even if one of them tried to murder you and has a terrible disease that could probably kill him at any time.

Now that everyone's got a small plate of food or a bag of chips or something, I take my chance to gets some questions answered. "Where's DeDeDe and Kirby?" I ask.
