prepare for that running away cliche

~~~
You ran for as long as possible, not caring where you ended up. You wished you could leave all your problems behind. But where you ended up did matter, for you were on the South Side of Riverdale.
You looked around, noticing how the buildings and everything around you were so much different than what you were used to. You sat in the middle of the street and stretched out like a dead squirrel.
As you predicted, a car nearly hit you. Whoever it was, they stopped and honked to get you to move. You decided to continue your walk through this old territory. Still, you couldn't figure out exactly where you were but didn't care. As long as you were away from everything that went wrong. Strangely enough, everything seemed strangely recognizable somehow.
Soon enough, you stumbled upon a small bar with at least 15 motorcycles out in front of it. You mentally said 'screw it' and walked inside. The people who probably owned all those motorcycles were inside, playing pool, and as you walked past, they stared.
"Wow, do I really look that bad?" you said loud enough for all of them to here. A few people chuckled.
You spotted a familiar face at the bar. FP Jones, Jughead's dad. His eyes opened wide as he saw you, and you quickly turned in the opposite direction. But he caught you anyway.
"Y/N, what are you doing here? The South Side isn't safe to walk around alone in, especially a girl like you. Where's Jughead? Hell, where are all your friends?"
"Right, my friends. Oh yeah, back on the North Side, where now everyone knows I'm y/s (your sexuality [bc some people are bisexual *me* or pan, anything else ya know]).
FP scoffs. "I don't understand. How is that bad?" he says almost as a question, not understanding.
"Um, because I wasn't ready for everyone to know, especially all at once and so suddenly. Plus my parents don't really... you know."
FP nods. "You'll pull through. You always have."
"Yeah, thanks for the pep talk, FP," you say sarcastically, heading for the door.
~
Reluctantly, you found yourself at home, the last place you wanted to be at the moment. Strangely enough, the door was unlocked and you strolled inside. You started towards the stairs but was interrupted.
"And where do you think you're going?" your mom asks.
"To my room," you mumble, trying to sneak past.
"Not so fast."
You whip around, giving your mother a look. "What?!"
"Alice Cooper just called me and said-"
"Said what? That I'm Y/S? Save it, mom. I can't help who I am and you're just going to have to deal with it!" You scream, running up the stairs.
"Y/F/N! Get back down here this instant!" your mother hisses.
You ignore her and start to quickly pack a small backpack of clothes and essentials and climb out the window. The sun was setting, you'd have to get to the Drive-In quickly before dark.
