Part 5

"Yes, Veronica, you are forgiven," you chuckle. Finally making peace with your new found friend was nice; you hated having feuds with people. 

"Yay!" V exclaimed, giving you a little hug.

It was lunchtime, so you resumed helping Kevin with some homework when Cheryl came over and sat at the table.

"Y/N, you have to join the River Vixens!"

"Isn't it too late? Auditions were..." you paused remembering what happened that fateful day, "on Monday." 

"Well not exactly, I'm willing to make an exception for you, N/N. Are we still on for tonight?" Cheryl asked.

"Of course!" you replied, feeling butterflies inside.

"Great! See you at Pop's at 7," Chery winked and left the table.

"Does Y/N have a date with Cheryl Blossom?" Kevin asked, clearly interested in your dating life.

"Well, I don't really know if it's a date," you told him.

"I think it's a date, V, do you agree?"

"Totally. Y/N you have to tell us everything that happens," V said.

"Alright fine, I'll tell you all the juicy details," you tease, getting up to get to your next class.

"Y/N aren't you coming to the Vixens' practice today to audition?" you hear Betty ask from behind you. You turn around.

"Well there's no way I'm getting out of it now, is there?" 

"Nope!" Betty giggles and you two link arms, making your way to the gym.

"You should change, Y/N! G'head!" Cheryl insisted, handing over a Vixens outfit.

You nodded and ran to the locker room. 

Walking out, you noticed Cheryl's brown eyes on you. She gestured for you to take a spot in the middle of the gym floor.

"Whenever you're ready," said Cheryl calmly.

"I, uh," you began, "don't have anything prepared," you confessed, looking over at Betty helplessly.

Betty mouthed, "Just dance!"

Suddenly, a routine came to mind. "Wait, scratch that. I actually do." 

Cheryl straightened up and Betty played the exact song you were thinking of.

"Y/N that was amazing! I'm so happy for you!" Veronica exclaimed after the practice had concluded. V looked at her watch, "Y/N it's 5 o'clock, you should start getting ready for your date!"

"But it's only 5 o'clock? I've got about 2 hours," you stated.

"Yes, and when you have a date with Cheryl Blossom, it takes that long to get ready. Come on, let's go to my place and I'll get you all glammed up, yeah?" V replied.

"Oh alright," you smiled excitedly.

"Y/N stop flinching it's just eyeliner," Veronica said, bursting into laughter.

"I'm sorry! People don't usually touch my face," you replied, giving into V's laughter.

"Okay, okay, we're done, we're done," Veronica puts the cap back on the eyeliner and you take a look in the mirror. 

"Damn. I look good," you say.

"You look hot, Cheryl will love it," Veronica assures.

"You really think so? I"ve liked her for a long time I hope this isn't some setup."

"Don't worry, it'll be fine. Text me if anything goes wrong, I've got a bucket of ice cream in the freezer for emergencies," she tells you.

You smile. "Thanks, V."

"No problem, Y/N."
