"Here you go, ladies," the waiter set down the abnormally large burger on the table, along with a plate of fries.

It wasn't sunny anymore but it wasn't pitch black either, and it was only 7:40.  The Diner was a bit more crowded now, with students from Riverdale High, and a few older couples taking in the nostalgia from their youths.

You noticed the cherry brooch on Cheryl's blouse and admired how it shined in the neon lights of the restaurant. Cheryl took a half of the burger and took a bite.

"This food will never get old," she stated, grabbing a couple fries with her soft hands.

"Aren't you going to eat, Y/N?" Cheryl asked you, taking a sip of her water.

"Yeah, I just- I eat like a horse."

"Aw haha, Y/N you're hilarious, come on, eat," Cheryl handed you the other half of the burger.

You took a bite and reached for a fry. Cheryl reached out to grab one as well, and your fingers touched. You blushed and pulled away.

"Cheryl, do you like me?" you asked, expecting the worst.

"Y/N, of course, I do."

"But do you like me," you paused, "like that?"

Cheryl looked around at the Diner and smiled.

"Yes."

You smiled and went back to eating, both of you didn't speak another word.

"Do you need a ride, Y/N? I can bring you home if you need to," Cheryl offered.

"Actually, I could give you a ride home, Cheryl, I finally got my license over the summer," you suggested.

"Oh! Okay then! I'll tell my ride to cancel then," Cheryl texted someone on her phone and then grabbed her purse. She took your hand you walked towards the door.

You looked at Kevin and mouthed, "OH MY GOD ARE YOU SEEING THIS!"

Kevin flashed a huge smile and gave you a thumbs up.

You guided Cheryl to your car, which wasn't fancy like Cheryl was probably used to, but it wasn't junkie either. Thankfully, you cleaned it yesterday.

You turned on the radio, "You can put on whatever. What's your address?"

"XXXXX Thornhill Drive. It shouldn't be hard to find, it's the biggest house in all of Riverdale," Cheryl told you.

You nodded, "Got it. I've just never been to your house before."

"Well, I hope that changes in the near future," Cheryl turned up the radio.

(*cue the generic love song*)

You only had one hand on the steering wheel (taylor swift???) and your free hand was fidgeting. Cheryl took your hand and held it. Her hands were so delicate and soft, you noticed, as she rubbed her thumb around your palm. You sighed.

"You okay?" Cheryl inquired.

"I'm great, to be honest," you told her.

"Good, so am I," she squeezed your hand as you pulled up to Thornhill's massive gates. The gates opened and you drove up the large driveway. Cheryl threw the strap of her purse over her head and tucked some of her hair behind her ears.

"Walk me to the door?"

"Sure," You turned off the car and took out the keys from the ignition. You put your keys in your pocket and shut the car door firmly.

For a third time, Cheryl took your hand as you walked up to the grand front doors of her house. She stopped right as she was about to walk in and walked closer to you.

"Thanks for tonight. It was perfect," Cheryl told you. And then she did something unexpected.

Cheryl Blossom, the girl you had been in love with for years, kissed you with her ruby red lips. And of course, being the idiot you are, your ears and cheeks turned pink as Cheryl pulled away walked into her large home- you practically ran to your car and sped all the way back to Pop's to tell Kevin everything.
