One pretty lady stands before Darren and me. Looking as if kailangan ko mahiya sa kanya.
“Darren? sino sya??”
“Hi, I’m kyle”
“why are you here?” tanong nya
“ginabi kasi ako.”
“and why are you wearing darren’s shirt?” she asked
“bawal na ba manghiram ng damit ngayon?” sabi ko. Naiirita na ako sa babaeng ito eh.
“Eh ikaw? Bakit ka nandito?” tanong ni Darren
“I’m here to give you an offer.” Sabi ni camz.
“can we talk somewhere private?” she continues.
Darren looked at me, as if asking for my permission. I nodded.
Umalis silang dalawa at nagpunta sa study. I went to the living room, patiently waiting for them.
Then Jaden arrived. Nalimutan ko na kung gano sila magkamukha ni Darren.
“oh hi there. You look bummed.” Sabi nya sabay upo sa tabi ko.
“close tayo?” sabi ko

“no. at least not yet. But I can be your friend. Where’s Darren?” tanong nya
“may kausap. Isang babae, I don’t know her but she looks foreign.” Sabi ko
“That could be camz. Camilla welsh.” Sabi nya
“oh.”

“nag seselos ka ba?” tanong nya
“h-hindi ah!!!!”

“may lagnat ako.”
“ganun ba. Tingin nga!” he placed his hands on my forehead. I think his hands are warmer than me.
“friends na tayo di ba?” tanong nya
“oo nga! Kulit ng lahi mo eh.”
He laughed again.
“I like you, you’re funny.” He said
“so pinagtatawanan mo ako? Haha! “
“nope. Haha! Boyfriend mo ba si Darren?”
“paki mo?” tanong ko. Pakialamaero din to eh
“di ba friends na tayo? E di pwede mo sabihin sakin. Think of me as your BFF.”
“ang totoo, hindi. Hindi kami. Pero nanliligaw palang sya.” Sabi ko
“kung liligawan ba kita, may pag asa din ako?” sabi nya
“HA!?”
“Wala!!!! Joke lang. to naman,. BFFs nalang tayo.” Sabi nya
“Alam mo Jaden, ang weird mo.”
“being hilariously weird is better than being freakishly boring.” He said as he give me a wink and left.
Ako din, alam ko kailangan ko din umalis. Hindi ako komportable sa lahat ng ito.
Nilikom ko ang gamit ko at nag iwan ng note sa kama

“Well, Darren. . . I never knew you were this stupid. Will you just accept my offer? That law firm is one of the biggest in the Philippines and you will be their face. The president wants you to be his laywer. Why are you refusing?! Matagal na itong offer na ito sayo pero you keep on declining!”
“my family is the one holding the case. Prosecution. Saka di ba you are holly heussaf’s cousin, bakit inooffer mo sakin ito eh pamilya mo ang nakasalalay? “

“give me then.”
“so ganon pala.” Sabay kaming napatingin ni Darren Kay jaden.
“why not brother? I wouldn’t mind a friendly competition between me and you. Dad would get mad,pero sa simula lang yon. He’ll get over it.”

“are you scared na matatalo ka sakin?” sabi ni Jaden, naghahamon.
“no! kaya kita ilampaso sa korte.”

“you do know that this can backfire jaden..” sabi ni Darren
“I know. But it’s still 50 -50”
“I’m in.” sabi ni Darren
“here are the paper and other documents you will need. Ung iba kailangan mo ipasa to make your transfer legal. I’ll be on my way out.”
Nagpunta ako sa park. Tahimik, masarap na simoy ng hangin.
“nakakainis naman ung babaeng yun, feel na feel naman isuot ung shirt na bigay k okay darren. Sarap patayin eh.”
“thou shall not kill.”
Huh? Sino yun? Lumingon lingon ako pero walang tao.
“ang taray pa. sarap ingudngod eh.” Heto nanaman ako kinakausap ang sarili.

“Lord?”
“haha! no!”
“nasan ka ba kasi nakakaloko ka din eh!”

And then nakita ko sya. And boy, he looks like an angel.
Pero mas gwapo si Darren. Duh!?
