After that there was no stopping the bad things coming.

Katie had to temporarily leave school for her dads funeral, so it was lonely without her. And Alicia wanted to go home, but the professors didn't think it was serious enough so she had blotchy eyes for the next 2 weeks, and I could hear her sobbing herself to sleep.

Angel was kind of sad and depressed and I wasn't much better. Fred forced me into kissing him! That's just wrong! I'd wanted to save my first kiss for someone special but it was taken by someone I hate now.

When Katie came back, everyone started whispering. Somehow they had found out why Katie went home and naturally they were whispering about it.

"Is that Katie Bell?"

"Her dads dead right?"

"Do you think you-know-who did it?"

"Maybe a rouge death eater did it."

Katie just ignored everyone, even me and the girls. She'd sit alone in the common room at night and already be there in the morning with dark circles under her eyes that not even a large amount of concealer could hide.

That evening, Professor McGonagall came to our common room. She held a piece of parchment in her hand and was looking at it behind her glasses. As she entered the before busily chatting common room fell silent.

"Thank you." She said. "Now, I have an announcement to make. There will be a ball this year."

Whispers flew around the room but McGonagall held up her hand to silence them.

"It is open to 4th years and above but you may take a younger student. Is this clear?"

"Yes Professor!" We chorused. I was over the moon. A ball, at Hogwarts? It was like my father had started giving out chocolate frogs.

So yah there's going to be a ball.
