you once said that we were like the friendship necklaces you bought me for my birthday. apart they were just gibberish imprinted onto cheap metal, but together they formed something so beautiful and meaningful.
they were complete together, not separate.
it felt like there was no one else that could be more perfect than we were. i really believed that. i thought you were the other half that completed me, and that without you, i couldn't be happy.
but we were young and foolish. all we ever cared about was that promise we made to love each other.
we forgot that as we grow older, we change. we become different people.
our halves begun to deform into other shapes so much to the point that my necklace didn't fit with yours anymore.
you found that out before i did, and when you left, i realized it too late.
