Author's note: Right, I know some of you may be questioning why I have given Izuku One for All, but believe me, what he does in this chapter (The Yuuei entrance exam) should make it clear what kind of hero he will be. (More notes at the bottom)
"Finally!" Hitoshi took a deep breath as they stood before the gates of Yuuei.
"Come one, if we hurry we can get good seats. Yamada-Oji-san is probably going to be the one explaining everything." Izuku said.
From one of the windows, Aizawa watched the two of them head in for the exam.
"They'll be fine." Midnight assured him, Aizawa nodded. He had taught them everything, he could only hope they got their wish.
During the explanation, Izuku got told off by another examinee for muttering. Izuku flinched at his words, but then glared at him, balling his hands into fists. It took all of Yamada's self-control not to correct the boy that Izuku muttering meant he was making a plan. And after the written exam, everyone was split into groups and sent to different areas.
"Hey, meet up at the gates?" Shinso asked.
"Yep, good luck." Izuku nodded.
"You too." Shinso went off with his group.
Izuku looked around at who he was with, he noticed the guy who had spoken out about his muttering. He took a deep breath, he had this. As soon as the gates opened, Izuku ran, he took a detour down one street and ran at several robots coming his way. He glance are the area and grinned, time to make a statement.
~~~~~~
Iida Tenya was with a bunch of people from the exam group, they dealt with the robots that rushed at them. Everyone jumped back as several robots crashed down. They fell across the path in almost dominos effect. Iida looked around, who had a quirk that would allow then to fall like that, he thought he had his answer when he saw the muttering green haired boy run across the top of the robots nd jump down to the other side.
~~~~~~
One may have expcted the staff watching the exam to be quiet observerse, they were nothing of the sort. Each found themselves cheering on Hitoshi and Izuku, they knew they shouldn't play favours, but oh well. Aizawa watched Izuku carefu exicute each of his own plasn with no errors. Izuku knew he couldn't fight the robots head on, Aizawa smiled, no other kid had used the robots against each other. At the back stood Yagi Toshinori, he watched Izuku carefully, waiting for the time he used One for All. Granted, the kid was going great without it, but he was sure it would show him off as a good competitor to the others examinees. Nezu seemed to have guessed Yagi's line of thought, and smiled widely.
~~~~~~
There were many things Izuku had expected from the exam.
1- it was going to be hard -yes it was in a sense
2- The competition was going to be pretty big - It was, Izuku already had some new quirks to add to his notebooks. It was force of habit.
3- The 1 point robot was going to make a huge sense as well as a mess - That was also right. It came crashing round the corner, taking out several buildings.
At the time, Izuku had settled on the back of a robot with rockets on it. He was hoping to some how work them to his advantage. But, something happened which he had not expected. For someone to be in danger. He heard a scream, he glanced up, and saw a girl. Her leg was trapped under the rumble caused by the giant robot, she couldn't move, and it was heading her way. When he looked at the other Examinees, they were all running away. He felt a burst of anger, they were running when someone need help, not very heroic. Izuku analyzed the situation, 3 minutes tops. He turned the rocket-headed robot to the giant one, raising it to its face, and set it off. As the rockets hurtled towards the giant robot, Izuku ran, faster then he had ever gone. Stopping by the girls side. She looked at him with weavering eyes, he carefully lifted the rubble and helpd her out, he quickly lifted her up and ran as pieces of the giant robot began to fall. Once it was over, Izuku stood there, holding her princess style. He looked at her with a kind smile.
"Are you okay?" He asked, She blushed, his voice was calm, and it made her less nervous. He had just saved her life. "Is your leg okay?"
"I think it's broken..." She gasped, looking at her leg. Izuku frowned, before a loud voice boomed out, the test was over. Izuku saw the person who could help. He walked passed over examinees to where Recovery girl was.
"Oh deary me." Recovery girl sighed, she kissed the girls hand, and her leg healed.
"Thank you..." She sighed.
"Here." Izuku put her down, she wobbled on her own feet and sighed.
"Thank you, thank you so much." She bowed to him. Izuku shook his head. "I wasted your time..."
"No you didn't. I am sure I took out enough robots, and it is for a hero course. Whta kind of person would that make me if I let you get hurt?" Izuku told her. He turned and began to walk towards the changing rooms, before speaking loudly. "A hero would never run away from someone in need, no matter of the sercomstances they were in." He said loud enough for everyone hear, they could hear the annoyence, the anger, disapointment his voice held. His own mind was much better. They were doing the exam for the heroics course, the best heroics course, and they ran from someone in danger. Izuku balled his hands into fists, disgraceful! He would gladly give all his points to make sure she had gotten out of this exam safely... But, would that make him a hero? Or just plain reckless? He didn't know yet.
~~~~~~
"Man, that must have been tough..." Hitoshi frowned at Izuku as they walked back. "I didn't get anyrobots... so, I probably won't make it to the heroics course."
"That would be a shame, other then that girl, I don't think i will likely get along with anyone. I am it clear that I was disguested with what they did, run when she was in danger, for the sake of their own points to get in..." Izuku said, his anger had not died down, Hitoshi understood why.
"But, at least she is safe." Hitoshi said, Izuku nodded.
"Yeah, I hope she passes." Izuku muttered, Hitoshi laughed.
"Worry about yourself. Though, I bet you got in, no problems!" Hitoshi grinned. Izuku shook his head and laughed.
"Hello boys, just in time to help us. Principle Nezu rang to say a new teacher with be starting this year and they will be joining us for dinner." Shinso-san called as they entered the Midoriya residence.
"Right okay...Wait, a new teacher?" The boys looked at each other. Who could be the new teacher?
Author's note: If you didn't notice it in this chapter, next chapter will be a full on explaination. XD
