Author's note: Went to Birmingham comic con yesterday and today. I only brought Boku no her stuff. Including manga volumes 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. Met so many Cosplayers too. Met one All Might... many that guy was tall. Anyway, with the manga in hand, writing this fic will be a lot easier as it means I can stop referring to the episodes. But, the 3rd volume, the one I'm missing has the start of the Sport festival... which begins in the next chapter! Enjoy this one, its a little filler chapter to show some friendship growth.

It was a Saturday morning, Izuku was up and eating breakfast whilst watching the news. It was going on about the upcoming Yuuei Sports festival.

"I bet you and Hitoshi are looking forward to it." Midoriya-san looked over at him from the kitchen. Izuku nodded with a small smile.

"We know we're going to do well, even my class is cheering Toshichan on. He'll be great in our class..." Izuku stopped as his phone buzzed, it was Todoroki. He answered the call. "Hey Todoroki-kun, what's up?"

Morning Midoriya...Remember when we had that talk? Todoroki asked.

"Yeah, what about it?" Izuku put his breakfast down, his mother watched him curiously.

I am thinking about visiting her today. Todoroki told him, Izuku smiled.

"That's brilliant! I bet she'll be really happy to see you!" Izuku grinned.

Yeah... I was wondering if you were free. I would like you to come with me... Todoroki didn't seem to sure about himself.

"I'm free, and I'd be happy to come. But, isn't this something you would rather do alone?" Izuku asked.

I guess I need you as moral support. Todoroki said, Izuku lent back on the sofa with a smile.

"I'll come with you, where do you want to meet?" Izuku asked, he jotted down the directions Todoroki. "so, I'll see you in a bit."

"One of your friends from Yuuei?" Midoriya-san looked at him.

"Yeah, he needs a hand, so, I'm going to help him." Izuku nodded.

"Oh, hang on." Midoriya-san started working in the kitchen. "I'll make you each a bento box. So, you go and get ready." Izuku smiled and went up to change.

Around 20 minutes later, Izuku and Todoroki were meeting up. Todoroki seemed nervous, Izuku could understand that. It had been 10 years since he had seen his own mother.

"What did your dad say about this?" Izuku asked, Todoroki chuckled slightly as they walked.

"He doesn't know." Todoroki smiled. "He wouldn't have allowed it, but I don't care. I need to do this, for myself, for her... He'll probably know when I get back. My older sister will tell him."

"He's the reason you do use your full potential, isn't he?" Izuku said, Todoroki looked at him in surprise.

"Your quirk, half hot, half cold. You have only ever used ice. Granted it is very powerful. But, from what  I have gathered from your quirk, you will likely be unbeatable if you used the fire too." Izuku said.

"I don't use it because it's my dad's quirk." Todoroki frowned. "I swore to never be like him."

"It's true most kids inherit their parent's quirk, but is still different from them at the same time." Izuku muttered Todoroki looked at him. "Whilst it is similar in element its not his quirk, its powers is yours to use how you see fit. He can't tell you how to use it, or what to use it for." Todoroki looked down.

"You definitely see the world in a different way, Midoriya." He said

"Oh, sorry..." Izuku looked at Todoroki, worried he had said the wrong thing.
