Finally, the day came to have a go at rescue training. Of course, Izuku knew before the rest of his class, it didn't stop him from showing his excitement, he brought his notebooks on locations with him, just to read before the actual lesson.
Class 1-A was confused on why Izuku was so happy that day, but they would be lying if they said it didn't rub off on them. All but Bakugo, of course, who just seemed even more infuriated then usual about Izuku being so cheerful.
"What's gotten you so worked up?" Uraraka asked at lunch. "I mean, it's great to see you happy after being so glum about the breach incident. But, why?"
"You haven't told them?" Hitoshi glanced at Izuku.
"I'm not sure I'm allowed, I mean, I'm not meant to know. But Yamada-Oji-san was kind of loud about it yesterday." Izuku muttered.
"Yamada-Oji-san is loud about everything. Anyway, you have it next right?" Hitoshi smiled.
"Have what?" Iida asked
"Rescue training at the U.S.A!" Izuku gushed, the females of his class awed at his burst of excitement. "I have analyzed all the locations, so I get to put them to use! I am really looking forward to it! Being rescue-based hero is what I've wanted to do for a long time." His classmates grinned, his excitement finally understood, and their own building."
"I'll be better at water rescues," Asui muttered, Izuku turned to her with a wide grin.
"Yeah, you'll excel in the shipwreck zone..." Izuku then went on to talk about what areas everyone's quirk would work best in, and which ones they wouldn't and why. Class 1-A was impressed with his forward thinking.
"When did you work all this out?" Uraraka asked
"Since the Quirk assessment test..." Izuku blushed deeply, embarrassed. "It's a force of habit, taking notes one the quirks I see."
"So, you could easily set up a rescue team by knowing the situation, location, and quirk?" Jiro asked
"In theory, yes." Izuku nodded, with that, Iida decided to test him on it, and needless to say, Izuku was able to do so.
During the first lesson after Lunch, Aizawa announced how they would be going to the U.S.J for rescue training. They got to choose whether or not they wore their hero costumes. It was no surprise that Izuku got changed as soon as he could. He inserted the location and quirk memory cards into his headgear, this lesson was really going to let his quirk shine.
Soon everyone was settled on the bus and was heading to the U.S.J. Izuku was quiet as he made sure his headgear was working properly and counted his extra earphones, ones he would give to his teammates so they could hear him with his mask. Most people kept glancing between Aizawa and Izuku, their costumes really similar. Izuku and Aizawa noticed this, but at least they didn't react like Yamada had.
~~~Flash Back~~~
Aizawa sat at his desk, he had just checked in with Izuku in the infirmary. He set up the videos of the Hero Basic training, he could feel most Yamada behind him, and occasional glances towards him from other teachers. He played the first video, Izuku, and Uraraka vs Bakugo and Iida. Almost immediately Yamada burst out laughing.
"What?" Aizawa glared up at him.
"Izuku-kun really is one for your boys." Yamada grinned widely. Aizawa glanced at the paused video. He could see the basics of his own Costume in Izuku's, but he could also see how he changed it to make it his own. But, Yamada's words had summoned the other teachers and they all looked at Izuku in his hero costume.
"He looks so cute!" Midnight gushed happily.
"Well, now you've all had a look, can I finish watching these?" Aizawa frowned, they let him be, but Izuku's heroic costume was still the name point of conversation.
~~~~~~
"Midoriya, can I ask you something about your quirk?" Asui asked suddenly, Izuku looked at her and nodded.
"Sure." He smiled
"We understand your quirk is analysis...but how were you able to throw that ball so far in the quirk assessment test?" Asui said
"Well, my analysis quirk has improved...I guess evolved in a way that my body is now improving to be able to combat most quirks."
"I call Bullshit!" Bakugo roared, causing Izuku to involuntary flinch away from him, something the whole class noticed and was deeply concerned about.
"Some quirks can evolve in many ways. Your quirk is certainly unique, Midoriya-kun." Yaoyorozu said. Izuku didn't reply, he just nodded and didn't make eye contact with anyone for the rest of the trip.
Izuku perked up once they reached the U.S.J, happily greeting Thirteen as he got off the bus. Thirteen began to explain the U.S.J to the rest of the class, as they entered the huge facility. Everyone gasped at the inside of it, Izuku smiled, it hadn't changed. But, as the class clapped Thirteens speech on the safety of quirks and how some quirks could be dangerous, Izuku looked up. There was something in the air, he couldn't explain it. But it bothered him, something in the back of his mind told him it wasn't dangerous. Whatever this feeling was, whatever was causing him to feel this way... He didn't like it. Unfortunately for him, he seemed to be the only one noticing the danger in the air.
