Izuku quickly rushed downstairs to find his letter from Yuuei arrived, He took it into the Kitchen. His mother was making breakfast, but she watched him from the corner of her eye. He opened it, and a video popped up. It was All Might explaining his score of the exam, he sat back with a grin when he saw his name next to the number one Bakugo was below him. He had gotten a pretty good villain score, and that was boosted with the 60 rescue points he had received for heling that girl. Midoriya-san hugged him happily.
"You did it Izuku!" She laughed. "You got into Yuuei!"
"Yeah, I did." He smiled happily, he had passed the test at the top! He was on the heroics course... "I'm going to see if Hitoshi got his."
"Alright, say hi to him for me." Midoriya-san smiled. Izuku got his shoes on and went next door.
"He's upstairs, I think he hasn't opened it yet." Shinso-san glanced nervously upstairs. Izuku went to Hitoshi's room and knocked.
"Toshichan, it's me..." Izuku said he let him in. Hitoshi was staring at his opened letter. "Toshi..."
"I knew I wouldn't pass the test, but... It hurt when they said it..." Hitoshi muttered sadly.
"Well, you just need to wait until the sports festival, then you can join the heroics course!" Izuku told him.
"I know... but still..." Hitoshi frowned. Silence fell between the two friends, both felt that it was unfair, one would enter the heroics course, the other left in general ed. But, there was nothing either of them could do about it. "Aizawa-Oji-san will probably come round to see us..." Hitoshi said after a while.
"And Yamada-Oji-san. I bet he'll overreact." Izuku nodded.
"When doesn't he overreact?" Hitoshi asked, and they both laughed.
"How about we go into town? Either way, we both got into Yuuei, how about we get something to celebrate?" Izuku suggested, Hitoshi nodded.
"That's a good point." They both got up, Izuku waited outside the house as Hitoshi told his mom the news. Of course, she was sorry for him but also proud that he still had a chance to follow his dream, just as Aizawa had told them all those years ago. "
~~~~~~
The friends walked down the street, sharing a box of Dango.
"I actually wonder what the General ed course is like... We really haven't asked too much about it." Hitoshi muttered
"Well, you'll find out. I'm sure it will be fun. And you might make more friends." Izuku smiled
"You'll always be my best friend though," Hitoshi told him.
"We're not best friends, we more like brothers." Izuku grinned "Aizawa's boys." Hitoshi laughed.
"Are we still going to call ourselves that?" He asked
"If we don't, we can count on the older years and teachers too." Izuku shrugged. "Let's face it, that nickname has been sealed, we have it for life."
"Not a bad thing though." Hitoshi smiled, Izuku nodded in agreement. They turned down a quiet street, heading towards the beach.
"DEKU!" A voice yelled, Izukua and Hitoshi turned to see Bakugo racing towards them. Izuku swallowed back his fear. He grabbed Hitoshi's arm and ran.
"We need to lose him!" Izuku gasped, Hitoshi could understand why, they had grown up with Bakugo being violent to them, they accepted that, ignore it most of the time. But this was obviously about Yuuei heroics course. Izuku had beaten Bakugo, that would obviously hit his ego pretty hard. Everyone had been feeding his fire for years, and this was just like tipping a bucket of water on it. It was going to be a painful realization for him. But even Hitoshi was afraid of what Bakugo would do.
In the end, they ended up rushing back home. Midoriya-san and Shinso-san were surprised when the boys burst into the place, closing the door behind them. The boys were unaware that Aizawa and Yamada were there. Izuku and Hitoshi had their backs against the door, then there was a loud banging.
"I know you're in there DEKU!" Bakugo yelled, Midoriya-san gasped covering her mouth. The Pro-heroes noticed this. They were the ones who got up to see what was going on. Izuku and Hitoshi looked up at them.
"Excuse us, boys," Yamada said, he had an annoyed looked on his face. They moved, and Aizawa opened the door.
~~~~~~
Bakugo was used to seeing heroes around the stupid Deku, but finding two looking down at him at the Midoriya residence was a huge surprise.
"Can we help you?" Present Mic asked, Bakugo could see the Deku and his friend behind the heroes.
"I'm here to speak to Deku," Bakugo growled.
"There's no one here by that name," Aizawa answered, he frowned. "You're Bakugo Katsuki, you got second place in the Yuuei entrance exam." That set Bakugo off, small explosions erupted in his hands, surprising the two heroes. Did this kid even have control over his quirk, or was his quirk responding to his anger? Either way, it was not a good sign.
"I..." Bakugo found himself at a loss for words. He shook his head. "It doesn't matter..." He stormed off.
~~~~~~
"That kid has major anger issues." Midoriya-san frowned, she hugged Izuku. "He's been targetting Izu-kun and Hitoshi-kun since it was believed Izu-kun was quirkless."
"Targetting, you mean he actually bullied you?" Yamada asked.
"Bullied, more like tormented us. Our quirks weren't flashy like his, and he made sure we knew our place." Izuku said bitterly. "He is obviously mad because I got a higher score..."
"That boy bothers me." Aizawa frowned. "When Yuuei starts, I'll need to keep an eye on him." He then glanced at the two boys. "Congratulations on getting into Yuuei, he added with a smile.
