"Do you think you can stay the night?" Michael asked. We were laying side by side on the grass in the field behind the park.
"I'll have to ask my brother." I pulled out my phone to text Collin.
Me:
can i stay the night?
Collin:
i don't know Scar...
Me:
pleeeaaasseee! I'll love you forever! And, I'll make dinner tomorrow!
Collin:
fine. come home and get your book bag and uniform though.
Me:
yaaayy! thank you i love you! we'll be there in like 6 minutes.
Collin:
yeah, yeah love you too.
"He said yes!" I said sitting up looking at Michael.
"Really? Yay!" he said sitting up as well.
"It's weird how this is the second time I'm staying at your house. I haven't even known a full week, yet here I am." I said.
"I could say the same about you. I'm letting you stay at my place. I more open with you Scarlett Evans. And I can't seem to figure out why." Michael said looking down at me.
"I'm more open with you as well. I mean I just spent an hour crying on your shoulder about my parents. My parents. Michael, that's not something I just up and tell people about. Hell, I didn't tell anyone, Collin did. You were the first person I've ever told. In this short time I've known you, I found myself trusting you. I don't even trust half of my little group of friends. Paige, Collin, and Calum. Out of all of my friends I trust three, and one is my brother. That's saying something, and I'm a bit scared." I said. This was all of my thoughts, and what I just confessed to the tall boy next to me was all true.
"You were the first person I told too. I let my guard down when I'm around you. I don't know why though. Maybe its because I'm myself around you. I don't have to hide anything. In this short time knowing you, I've let myself trust you as well. Hell, I don't even trust my own sister! You don't have to be scared because I can assure you, I'm probably just as scared as you are." he said. I smiled at that, because he understands.
When we got my block, I told Michael to wait at the corner so Collin doesn't see him. To which he replied 'I'm not a prostitute Scarlett Evans.'
"Collin!" I yelled out once I entered the house.
"Scarlett!" I heard him yell. He appeared from the living room with my book bag and uniform.
"I'm sure your friend has some pajamas you can wear." he said handing me my things.
"Thank you Col. I'll see you tomorrow. Love you!" I said walking out of the door.
"Love you too!" I heard him yell.
"Michael?" I called out. I looked around to the corner, but he wasn't here.
"What?" I jumped from his voice being so close to me.
"What the hell! You need to stop wandering off and scaring me." I said pushing him in the chest lightly.
