The duo finally reached Daryl's camp.

Opal hoped for immediate kindness, but knew that eventually, sometime, somebody in the redneck's group would dislike her, hell maybe even Daryl could end up hating her. She mentally plead that it wouldn't be Daryl, he was her savior, he'd trusted her enough to take her to his cam.

"they might not warm up to ya right away, so didn't be offended if they say or do something," Daryl explained. hee captured her beauty. "do i recognize ya from somewhere?"

Opal internally groaned, she wasn't annoyed at Daryl, just his question. "Yes. I was a so called beauty queen," she put air quotes with her fingers while saying beauty queen.

"Beauty Queen, eh?"

Opal nodded, she hoped nobody would come out like Daryl and tell that they recognized her, "that's what they called me."

Daryl nodded, he could tell that opal didn't enjoy the subject.

they emerged themselves from the bushes, and instantly, just as Daryl had said, members noticed and rose their weapons.

"Daryl!" a man yelled, walking over. "who's this?"

"Found 'er running from roamers," Daryl explained bluntly.

There it was, another word for those things. Opal wondered how many different names there were for them out there.

She dropped the multiple bags she was carrying, her adrenalan wearing off and making her finally realize how heavy they were all together.

"Weapons?" the man questioned.

Opal studied his features. His brown hair that stood up. He wore a beige shirt and he smelled of pine, as if he'd been hunting for a Christmas tree and got absorbed in them. She slightly had an urge to cover her nose around him, ignoring it and laughing in her mind.

Daryl turned to Opal, he hadn't stopped to check her for any dangerous items.

"I have a knife, but that's it," Opal answered.

SHane shot a quick glare to Daryl, unsatisfied that he didn't conficacate the pewny knife, that you could barely call a knife, the girl had.

Opal grabbed the monster killing weapon out of her waistband, "I'm guessing you want it?"

Shane nodded and grabbed it from the pageant queen's fragile hand.

Opal glanced around, Shand and Daryl's group had made a horseshoe shape around the men and women.

"We don't carry weapons around camp, only the ones who know what they're doing," Shane said, putting the knife in the back of his pants.

Opal nodded, she definitely was not skilled with the dull object. "who are the experienced ones?" she asked, she didn't want to get on anyone's bad side, especially anyone who had a hold of a weapon.

Shane smirked, "well, the list is; T-Dog, Daryl, Dale and I."

Opal nodded. She now knew how safe she was.

"I can introduce you to everyone," Shane offered.

Daryl sighed to himself, he didn't want Shane showing Opal around, but he sure as hell didn't want to show her around either. He wanted Merle to get back as soon as possible. Without Merle, Daryl had no one to follow. If anything, Lori or Carol should show the beautiful girl around.

Opal agreed to Shane showing her around. Shane directed her to where the water was, the bathroom and other necessities too. THen, it was the people.

Lori was a nice widow with a child named Carl. She smelled like her deodorant wasn't doing it's best. she wore light clothing that matched her brown hair and brown eyes. She was kind and welcoming.

Carl was Lori's kid. He appeared to look 12 or a little bit younger. Sadly, his dad was dead, as Lori had told Opal. The kid didn't talk much, leading to the fact that he was shy.

Carol was a woman with short, grey hair. SHe had bruises along the top of her arms, her faded orange t-shirt showing them off. SHe too had a child. Opal could tell that she was like a mother to the group.

Sophia was Carol's daughter. SHe was shy, but had started to talk more at the end of their introduction. SHe wore a tinted blue shirt with a happy rainbow on it. She and Carl made Opal had hope.

Opal never actually met Ed. But he was Carol's husband and abuser. Opal was glad not to meet him, as she would have spat on his shoes.

Next, Opal met T-Dog. He dared never to tell what his full name was. HE was a tall black man who carried a pickaxe. It was his so called "signature" weapon. He was kidn to Opal and she wished for a friendship between the two.

Jim was a lonely man. He used to be a mechanic. He had no family or friends. Opal had a hint of pity upon him. He deserved more than what this world was giving him.

Amy was a young adult who was a social butterfly. SHe treated Opal as a new friend and dared to tell drama, even in the conditions they were in.

Next, it was Dale. The old man with a rifle. He treated Amy as his own and Opal was sappy at the thought. Two strangers met through the end of the world and now they had that strong of a bond. He had a welcoming smile and a warm RV where he kept his watch.

There was more than just that, but Opal couldn't remember more than just the few mentioned before. After Shane was done, he still needed to think of where Opal could sleep. Everyone came into the middle of the camp, a circle of people around Shane and Opal. "Would anybody feel comfortable enough to host their tent for Opal?" Shane yelled.

Daryl winced, Shane's loud voice was definitely bringing walkers around. He'd offer his tent, but there wouldn't be enough room for her once Merle came back.

Merle and multiple other people were on a supply run into Atlanta. Daryl believed that sending a large group into the city was dangerous and taking a risk.

"Also keep in mind of the family members coming back from Atlanta," speak of the devil. "Does anyone have some space open for Opal?"

Daryl hesitated calling out, but nobody else was looking forward to a stranger in their tent, "she can stay with me."

Everyone's head turned to Daryl. He didn't speak much. he wasn't social ever. So this was a surprise. He didn't even ask Merle if she could stay. "You sure?" Shane asked

Daryl nodded. "You don't see anyone else taking' her," he said, trying to sound as if he didn't want her. HE didn't really mind her presence to be honest. Shane wanted to ask if it would be okay with Merle, but at this time he just wanted everything to be figured out with Opal.

"Alright, Daryl, show her where your tent is," Shane demanded.

Daryl clenched his jaw and Opal could tell that the man didn't appreciate others telling him what to do. HE grunted and turned, Opal took it as a sign to follow him. THey approached Daryl's tent and he went in, leaving Opal in the open.
