On Wednesday of that week, I waited for Richie's friends to get to his house. When they did I walked out of mine. They saw me and walked across the street. 

"Y-Y-You got a new watch." Bill studdered. 

"It's just one to hold me over until my step dad fixes my other one." I told him. 

"Come on." Eddie said. "I want to get to school before it starts raining." 

They walked ahead as Richie waited for me. 

"So, what happend with that bitchy lady and your mom yesterday?" 

I smiled, we started walking. "That bitchy lady is my aunt and she's just a bitch." 

"What was her problem?" 

"She has this thing going where she believes everyone she surrounds herself has to purify themselves." I said. "And that includes me not talking to boys at thirteen. Because you guys should still have cuties." 

"Cuties?" He asked. "I have no such think." 

"He might have something else though!" The boy I didn't know said. 

I laughed, "What's his name?" 

"Stanley." 

I nodded. 

"Wait, so why did your aunt storm out of your house?" 

"My brother threw peas at her." I said. 

"Well, they are gross." 

"What? Peas are so good!" 

"She's right, and they're healthy." Eddie butt in. 

"Are you guys listening to our conversation?" I asked. 

"Well, all Richie does is talk." Stan said. 

"Y-Y-You guys a-a-are loud too." Bill said. 

I shook my head, "Anyway, thanks again for returning my watch last night." 

"I wasn't going to leave it on the ground." 

I smiled as we crossed the street. We approached the school and went inside. 

"Are you guys going over to Richie's house after school?" I asked. 

"No, we're going to Bill's." 

I nodded.

"Did you want to come w-with us?" Bill asked. 

"No, I have some stuff to do at my house." I said. 

"You sure? You can if you want." 

"I'm fine." I smiled and walked past them to the classroom. I sat in my seat as Richie and the boys walked in. 

The bell rang soon after. The teacher rambled on as I laid my head down on my desk. I was completely zoned out until the door to the classroom opened. I lifted my head, I saw the principal talking to the teacher as I saw Jack in the hall. 

I stood from my seat. 

"Jack?" 

"Get your stuff." He told me. 

I grabbed my bag. 

"What's going on?" I asked, walking out of the room. 

"We need to get your brother." 

"I have no idea where he is." I said. 

The principal stepped out. 

"I need Alec Martin as well." Jack told him.
