nine

We all got dressed, then followed behind Ben. We came to the street Richie and I lived on. We came closer to my house and I saw my brother outside, he looked disturbed. 

"Hold on!" I yelled to the boys and Bev. I dropped my bike in the middle of the road, running to my brother. "Alec? Are you okay?" 

"I saw mom,  s-she was dead..." He started. 

"Decomposed?" I asked. He nodded. "Oh my god, where did you see her?" 

"My room." He said. I looked to the boys, then ran inside. "Sadie!" 

I ran up the stairs, then stopped at the top. I slowly walked to his room. Once I got to the room, I pushed the door open slightly. I took a step in and saw the thing run at me. I screamed, shutting the door. I quickly ran down stairs, missing a step and tumbling down the bottom half. 

I hit my head on the tile, I rolled over to my back. 

"Holy shit." I groaned. 

"Sadie." Alec kneeled down next to me. Richie and the boys ran into the house.

"What the fuck just happened?" Richie asked. 

I shook my head, "I'm okay." I stood. 

"Your head is bleeding." 

"I'm fine, lets go." 

"Do you have bandages?" Eddie asked Alec. He nodded and went into the kitchen. Richie helped me to the couch as Alec handed all the stuff to Eddie. He cleaned the wound and then put a bandage on it. "You're all good." 

"Lets go." I said, standing.

"What about me?" Alec asked. 

"Where's Jack?" 

"Meeting." 

"Go make some friends." I told him. "Get a girl friend. I don't care." 

I walked out of the house, along side Richie, who helped. We got to the bikes and I picked mine up. I got on it and we all continued down the street, turning the corner onto another street. After a couple more turns. We finally pulled up to his house and dropped our bikes. Ben took off into the house and up the stairs.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Stanley asked. 

"Just got spooked is all." I said. "I'm okay." 

The boys and Bev walked ahead of me. We walked into the house, I shut the door behind me as they walked up the stairs. I slowly followed behind. Once I reached the top , they were already inside his room. 

I walked in, seeing them stare at the walls. Ben was explaining something about the charter. I took a step further into the room. I looked around at all the pictures. Beverly closed the door as I watched. Ben turned around as I saw a New Kids On The Block poster. I giggled as Bev opened the door. 

"Where was the well house?" Bill asked. 

"Not sure, why?" Ben asked. 

"Nothing." He said.

Once we were done, we all went home. When I got to my house, Alec and Jack's cars were both gone. I stared up at my house. Seeing a red balloon in my bedroom. I shook my head, and blinked. I looked back up and it was gone. 

"Sadie?" Richie asked. "Are you okay?" 

I dropped my bike, "can I come over to your house." 

"Why?" 

"I don't want to be alone in mine." 

"I have to shower, but sure." He said. I ran over to him and I followed him into his house. We went up to his room and I sat on his bed. "You can sleep, if you want to." 

I nodded, kicking off my shoes. I laid down, pulling the covers over me. I shut my eyes as Richie walked out. I heard the shower start running a couple minutes later. I was almost asleep when Richie walked back in. I opened my eye slightly. 

"You're still up?" He asked. 

"Kind of." I said, closing my eyes again. "But I'm tired."
