We all went over to Bill's house next. He was pinning a map of Derry to the wall as we watched. Mike closed the garage door as Eddie turned on the projector. I stood over to the side as Bill slipped a picture into the projector.
The boys and Beverly sat down as I watched Bill.
"Look." He said. "That's where G-G-Georgie disappeared. There's the iron works and the black spot."
"My mom's work is right here." I said, pointing to the place, which was near a tunnel, connected to the sewers.
"Everywhere IT happens i-it's all connected by the sewers. And they all meet up at the-"
"The well-house." Ben finished.
"You mean the house on Neibolt Street." Stan said.
"You mean the creepy-ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?"
Eddie took in a waft from his inhaler.
"There's no way I'm going in there." I said.
"I hate that place." Beverly added. "Always feels like it's watching me."
"Maybe because IT is." I said.
"That's where I saw IT." Eddie said. "That's where I saw the clown."
"Th-th-that's where IT lives."
Eddie took in another waft from his inhaler.
"I can't imagine anything ever wanting to live there." Stanley said.
"Can we stop talking about this?" Eddie jumped up. "I can barely breathe. It's summer. We're kids, I can barely breathe. I'm having a fucking asthma attack."
"Eddie, calm down."
"I'm not doing this." He said, ripping down the map.
"What the hell! Put the map back!" Bill said.
That's when the projector started moving on it's own.
"Guys." I said.
It flashed pictures of Bill with Georgie and his parents.
"What's happening? What's going on?" Bill asked.
I backed up, along with Eddie. I held tight onto his arm.
"Georgie." Bill said.
The picture moved from his brother, to his mom. It turned into a clowns face.
"Holy shit!" I screamed.
"What the fuck is that!?" Richie screamed.
"I don't fucking know!" Eddie screamed back.
"Turn it off!" Beverly said.
"Bill!" I screamed.
Mike jumped up, kicking it over. The room fell black for a second then it showed the clown's face again. It clicked a few more times until the clown disappeared.
We all started breathing heavy. It got dark for a second before the clown popped out. Eddie and I both let loose giant screams.
"Stanley!" I screamed. He ran over as Richie and I pulled him to safety. The clown ran towards Beverly.
"What the hell is happening!" I screamed, tears now pouring from my eyes.
It got closer to Beverly, until Ben pulled open the door and IT disappeared. We all breathed heavy.
"Oh my god." I cried, turning to the nearest person, who was Richie. He wrapped his arms around me.
"IT saw us." Eddie said. "IT saw us and it knows where we are."
"It always knew." Bill said. I pulled back from Richie, wiping my face. "S-so let's go."
"Go? Go where?" Ben asked.
"Neibolt. That's where G-G-G-Georgie is."
"After that?" Stan just asked, motioning to the garage.
"Yeah, it's summer we should be outside...."
"If you say it's summer one more f-f-f-fucking time." He said. He grabbed his bike and rode off.
"Bill!" Beverly yelled. "Wait!"
I ran to my bike, picking it up. I hopped on it.
"Sadie, are you serious?" Richie asked.
"I can't let him go alone." I said and rode off, following Bill. He dropped his bike in the road. I caught up and did the same as he walked towards the house.
Beverly and the boys rolled up behind me.
"Bill!" Beverly said. He turned around. "Bill you can't go in there. This is crazy."
"Look you don't have to come in with me, but when another Georgie goes missing or another kid looses their parent, or one of us? Are you just going to pretend it didn't happen like everyone else in this town? Because I can't. I go home and all I see is that Georgie isn't there, his clothes, his toys, his stupid stuffed animals but he isn't. So walking into this house for me, it's easier than walking into my own. " He turned around and walked up the steps.
"Wow." Richie said.
"What?" Beverly asked.
"He didn't stutter once."
Richie began walking up the steps, me behind him.
"Wait!" Stan said. "Uh, shouldn't we have some people keep watch? Just in case something bad happens?"
"Wh-wh-wh-who wants to stay out here?" Bill asked.
The boys all raised their hands as I looked to Beverly.
"Fuck." Richie said.
