Hey guys! So this is the official sequel to "Beneath the Midnight Sky," It takes place about 2 months after the first story. Hope you find it interesting. I'm not sure it'll be as long as the first one. I missed you guys :) So let's get to it.

I'm not going to put Trigger Warning before each chapter because if you're reading this, you've likely read the 1st part so you know what to expect.

Enjoy. Feedback appreciated.

Prologue

The Autumn leaves fell carelessly from their tree homes creating hues of yellows, greens, and reds across the campus pavement. They made a crunching noise as people made their way to the local coffee shops and classrooms for warmth and the socialization they craved.

Inside the dorm, Zayn tightened a scarf around Louis' neck and placed a maroon beanie on top his small head; turning him around to face the mirror.

"You look perfect, Lou. Senior year is going to be here soon. My baby is all grown up," He dramatically pretended to cry as he hugged his friend into a tight embrace.

"You know, you really don't have to keep picking out my clothes. I am doing better now and can actually think for myself," Louis chuckled as he adjusted the scarf to be symmetrical.

Zayn shrugged. "Pretty soon we're going to be graduated, go our separate ways, and will only see each-other at our weddings or college reunion or something..." He groaned as he placed a hand on Louis' shoulder.

Zayn continued to stare at his friend in the mirror. He still found himself admiring all that he was, even though he had been with Liam for months. Everyday, he found something else that made his heart beat a little faster. In this moment, it was the tiniest constellation of freckles that showered Louis' nose and cheeks.

He slowly walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around the tiny waist.

Louis smiled at him. "Do you think Harry is going to like my outfit?"

Zayn quickly let go of the embrace and tried to keep his eyes from rolling at the mention of the name. Harry.

"He'll love it," Zayn reassured him. "Do YOU like how you look in it?" He cocked an eyebrow.

"I mean..." Louis blinked rapidly before answering. "To tell the truth, Z, I've been...erm...feeling bad about myself, like really bad. All of this weight gain....you know? Everyone says I look healthy but I know that's code for Hey Louis you slob!"

Zayn turned Louis around out so he wasn't facing the mirror any longer. "Alright, Lou. It's time for real-talk. You are perfect, okay? Whatever voice in your head is telling you otherwise, ignore it and replace it with my voice, or even Harry's. I'm so proud of you!" He said pulling him into a tight hug.

"Thanks," Louis said returning the favor. "I guess we should get going or we'll be late!"

Together, they walked down the corridor and across campus to the cafeteria. Harry, Niall, and Liam were waiting patiently at their usual table.
