Patton made his way down the hall, on his way to the cafeteria so he could join Roman, Logan and Virgil. It was a week since they had first talked to Virgil. It was a bit surprising how well Virgil fit in with their little group. Yes, he was a bit negative a lot of the time, but he was honest. He usually said the first thing that came to mind, or at least that's what it seemed like to Patton. He had to admit though, Virgil was still a bit drawn back. It was understandable though, they had only met him a week ago. But Patton really felt like Virgil would still rather be anywhere else then with them. He felt guilty, as if he was pressuring Virgil to stay. That was the last thing Patton wanted to do.
He entered the cafe, pausing at the doors to look around. He was looking for his three friends, but weirdly none of them seemed to be here. Patton was always the last one to join their little group, since he always went to his locker first before coming to the cafe. Roman and Virgil always carried their stuff around in their bags, so they were always the first ones here. So where were they?
Patton walked farther into the cafe, maybe he just hadn't spotted them from the door. He started walking up and down the rows in between tables, looking for Roman. He would be the easiest to pick out from the crowd since no one dressed like he did. Of course he also kept an eye out for Virgil and Logan as well, incase Roman wasn't here.
He had walked through the whole cafeteria only to find out that none of them were there. Had they all made plans and gone somewhere else? Surely if they did, Patton had forgotten about them accidentally. They would never do something like this without telling him. Plus, Patton had forgotten about stuff like this before.
He moved towards the wall, so he was out of the way while he tried to think. Had it been discussed that they were going to go somewhere else for lunch? It was Friday, they didn't normally go places on Fridays, that was more of a Thursday thing. But where were they then?
He continued to think until he could see something move in the corner of his eye. What had moved was not just somebody in the cafe. No, it was on the wall and was black at first glance. Patton had to try not to scream upon seeing the creature. He quickly moved away from the wall and away from the spider that was on it.
He stared at the spider, fear clear on his face. He started to back away, not realizing he was about to run into some people behind him. As soon as they made contact, Patton jumped, whirling around to look at the person he had bumped into. His hand shot out, to steady the other, an apology ready on his lips, and the fear of knowing the spider was there was still evident.
"Don't touch me!" The person barked, making Patton take a step back. Patton quickly apologized taking another step back, his back hitting the wall as he did so. He jumped again, instantly fearing that the spider was now on him. He spun around, trying to see if the spider was on him while brushing off his clothes just incase it was.
"What's wrong with him?" Someone muttered. It was one of the people Patton had run into but he paid no attention to them, continuing to pat himself down. In that time, of course one of them had noticed the spider on the wall. They picked it up, letting the spider crawl around on their hand. "Looking for this?"
Patton stopped moving, he looked over at the other and instantly noticed the spider in the others hand. "Please keep that creepy crawly death dealer away from me." Patton practically begged as he took a step away from the one holding the spider, careful not to bump into anyone this time.
"Alright, I'll just take him outside then." The black haired girl holding the spider said. But instead of going to the doors behind her, she took a step towards Patton. Patton could feel the fear in him grow rapidly as she came closer. He tried to move back but with every step back, she took one forward.
