Fan art for this ship is kind of hard to find. But more has actually been surfacing. Credit of the pic above goes to the artist.
Patton hadn't slept well that night, not at all. Usually he found it easy to fall asleep. Roman and Logan often joked about how Patton could probably fall asleep anywhere. And yet, no matter how comfortable he was, he couldn't seem to fall asleep. Not this night when they were so close to finding Virgil.
Patton sighed before making his way to his feet. He moved as quietly as he could, tip toeing to the kitchen to get a drink of water. Maybe that will help, Patton thought. Or more like hoped that it would.
"Can't sleep?" The voice was so sudden and unexpected that Patton couldn't help but jump. He yelped then quickly covered his mouth, hoping not to wake anyone up. His heart was racing a mile a minute as he stared at the figure before him.
Logan, it's just Logan. As Patton's mind processed the fact he started to relax. It wasn't someone who had broken into Thomas's house or something. It was someone familiar.
"No," Patton hated to admit it, he hated to do so, not wanting the other to worry. "But why are you up, Logan? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
Logan just stared at Patton for a moment before he pushed up his glasses and looked away. "I'm sure I'm up for the same reason as you. There's no reason to act as if I'm not."
"You're worried about Virgil?" Patton asked moving closer to Logan, trying to make out his facial expression in the dark. It was pretty much blank, except for the sadness in his eyes. Something most people would not notice unless they knew Logan and knew how to read him.
"You're not the only one who's worried about him. We all are Patton, even Thomas who hardly knows what's going on." There was a hard ice in Logan's voice. It caused Patton to flint back slightly. Logan never used that kind of tone with him.
Patton clenched his jaw slightly. It wasn't anger or anything like that. It was more of forcing back the emotions that were bubbling inside of him. He had to keep a cap on them for a little bit longer at least. Patton knew Logan was probably feeling the same way, so he took a deep breath, doing his best to calm himself. His emotions were overwhelming him though, he had tried to keep them back for too long. It was starting to show.
"Patton. I didn't mean it like that." Logan said, realizing just how cold he had been.
Patton just shook his head, finally managing to push back most of his emotions. "It's fine. None of us are acting like our normal selves right now.." Admitting that was harder than one would expect for Patton. It was admitting that something was wrong, and that often made others worry. He hated making people worry.
"Yeah. But did you want some tea? I made some, it might help you sleep." Logan said. He didn't wait for an answer, he just poured Patton a cup of tea.

The next day, Patton found that he could not sit still, no matter how hard he tried - which wasn't very hard if he were to be honest. He didn't find it that big of a problem, but Logan and Roman who were sitting on each side of him, had a different opinion on it. Many times within the hour Logan had told Patton to sit still. Which he did, but it never lasted long.
"You alright back there buddy?" Thomas asked, turning in his seat to look at Patton. He was in the shotgun while Patton's mom drove. That meant Logan, Patton, and Roman were all squished into the back of the car.
"I'm sure he'll be fine once we actually get there." Logan answered for Patton. "He's like a dog that can't sit still in the car. They never settle until the car comes to a stop and they are actually let out of the vehicle."
Roman couldn't help but let out a barking laugh at that. Thomas chuckled, quite amused. He could see the similarities between Patton and a dog. It was quite funny.
"Well, he can calm himself then. We're here." Thomas said before pointing to a driveway on the left. "Right in here."
Upon hearing the words Patton froze. It was almost as if he wasn't breathing. His was so filled with anticipation that he almost couldn't breathe. Patton could feel Roman put a hand on his shoulder, silently telling him to calm.
Patton just looked at him, a ridiculously large smile on his face. They were so close to Virgil and making sure he was okay! "Woof." He said playfully, letting them know he hadn't been ignoring them. Patton didn't realize, but it had been the first corny joke he had made in a while.
As soon as the car was stopped, Patton was out of the car. He had climbed over Roman and out the door. Roman hadn't even had any time to react.
A car parked close by filled Patton with more hope. He ran inside, no hesitation at all. He could hear the others calling after him, calling his name, yet he did not stop. He just ran into the hotel.
"Virgil, kiddo!" Patton called into the building. His eyes instantly scanning the area for his dark strange son. But despite looking for his friend, he didn't find him. Instead he was faced with the mother.

Sorry it's kind of short though.
Also I still don't have any friends here at university. But like if any of you are up for being friends feel free to message me!
Although I might not reply until Sunday since I'm going home this weekend and am going to be focusing on my family.
