(A/n that's Kiyoko Kaoru^^^)
Mayu's p.o.v:
I love mornings, I really do but not today because a new transfer student came to mine and Kazumi's class. "It's nice to meet you, my name is Kiyoko Kaoru but you can call me Kaoru. I hope we can get along." He said as he bowed in front of the class, "I am the younger brother of Kiyoko Kazumi and I've been transferred to high school early."
Wait?! Is he serious! Why would they let him come to a high school when he's meant to be in middle school. "You should all know that he is a prodigy and passed all his exams in middle school with full marks. His IQ is higher than some of the people in this class." Sensei explained.
Kaoru went to sit on a spare seat which was next to Akahi-kun. I looked towards Kazumi since she's been silent through all of this but her eyes looked so lifeless when looking at Kaoru as if she's never met him or couldn't care less about him. "Kazumi, you didn't tell me you had a younger brother", I whispered to her.
"I'm not his sister anymore", she replied flatly. It seems like she doesn't want to talk about it but something must've happened between them. Their family seems like the people you wouldn't want to mess with.
Despite that, I could here giggles from girls in this class who seemed excited to see him, I guess he'll be popular soon. They seem different in every way but I wonder if it was always like that.

It was lunch now and at our break, Kazumi had disappeared but came back when lessons were going to start whereas Kaoru was bombarded by girls and boys asking him million of questions. Akashi-kun had gone to the student council office at that time but now he's here and everyone are making sure not to crowd his place since Kaoru sits next to him.
Kazumi was about to to get up but Kaoru got up from his seat and walked towards her before she could leave. "Yo, Kazumi its been a while," he said,"you never visited me once, it makes your younger brother sad."
He then looked at me and smiled, "it's nice to meet you, you must be Kazumi's friend, Izumi Mayu, right?" I nodded and was rather surprised that he knew me.
"I'll be off now Kazumi, I'll see you later!" He happily said however it seemed as if he was hiding his true emotions just like Kazumi. "I'll see you a bit later, Kazumi. I got to do something." I lied but she didn't mind me going.
I ran down the stairs to catch up with Kaoru. I need to know more about them, I can't let Kazumi suffer alone anymore as it is. I saw him walking alone with no one there. "Kaoru!!" I called. He turned back and walked to me, "I didn't know I've caught your heart as well, I thought Kazumi would have smarter friends." He said.
This made me frustrated but I kept my emotions hidden, "I have no feelings towards you so don't categorise me with those girls. I wanted to ask you about your relationship with Kazumi and why you're so distant." I said.
"Why?" He asked curiously.
"I want to find more about her since she keeps herself hidden as well as help her overcome whatever she's going through", I replied honestly.
Karou sighed, "that's the kind of person she is, a heartless person who keeps herself shut off from those around her." He said, "don't bother with her since it can't be helped." After saying that, he walked off as I gritted my teeth frustrated of what he said and muttered 'jerk' under my breath.
There will be someone who will save her and even if it's not me, I'll be happy she was understood by someone but I won't give up so easily. Not now, everyday she is sucked deeper in the darkness and I can't help seeing her locking herself from everyone.

Kazumi's p.o.v:It's been 6 years since the last time I saw Kaoru and I guess he still holds a grudge over me but I don't blame him. "Pssst, Kazumi-chan!" I looked to whoever was whispering to find Mibuchi-San trying to get my attention and not a certain person in this room which I suppose is Akashi-kun. I walked towards him and he signalled me to follow him.
He led me to the sports gym and that's when I saw what would get us killed by Akashi-kun. "Nebuya broke the hoop when he did a dunk and we don't know what to do, help us Kazumi!" Mibuchi-San said.
"How?" I asked confused.
"At least try to talk to him if he sees this, he might let us off a bit", Nebuya suggested.
"That won't be necessary", a voice was heard which made us all paralysed. "Reo and Nebuya, you two will be punished and Kazumi," I stood frozen in my place and could see Mibuchi-San mouthing 'sorry'. "You will have twice of work as student council and as the manager of the basketball team." He declared.
"You thought I wouldn't find out or even see you calling Kazumi while I was in class but you thought wrong. Expect an extra mile of running for you two."
"But Kazumi didn't do anything wrong!" Mubuchi-San had the courage to say.
"You do not have to talk for her Reo," he replied, "has the cat got your tongue Kazumi?" He asked in a threatening manner. I felt as if I was shaking in my boots from the way he said my name but kept a brave face on.
"I need to go do something", I replied running away from the gym to a secluded area and sat on the grass with my legs together. A lot has happened today, a lot of memories I've tried to forget has been brought back. One of them was Kaoru.
I laid down and felt myself drift into a dreamland until the sun was blocked by someone standing over me. The sun shined on his red hair. "Is this want you wanted to do?" Akashi-kun asked me.
Narrator's p.o.v:
Kazumi sat back up and stared at Akashi thinking on what she should say. Akashi sighed and sat next to her which surprised her. "Ever since your brother came, you've been acting differently. Something happened between you two before."he said.
"What makes you sure?" She asked.
"Isn't it obvious? I am absolute therefore I am right." He replied confidently.
Kazumi chuckled, "you are right. Kaoru and I were once very close when we were young but it all changed when I turned my back on him, I left him to fend for himself in this cruel world when he was just a little boy." Tears were building up in her eyes.
"Do you regret it?" Akashi asked.
"I don't know, only time will tell but..." Kazumi said "I want to make up with him. I want my little brother back. The only person left in my family." When she finished her sentence, tears began streaming down her eyes as she tried to cover her face on her lap.Akashi stood up, "if you want him to forgive you, you need to work hard and not give up midway until he forgives you," he said as he reached his hand out to me, "are you up for it?"
Kazumi wiped her tears off her eyes and took Akashi's hand to stand up with a smile on her face and faint tears at the brim of her eyes in which Akashi noticed and wiped it off with his finger. Kazumi could feel her face heat up but couldn't care as long as she was with him.
With a closed eye smile she said, "Arigatou Akashi!" Kazumi never felt happier in her life in which she expressed her truest and strongest feelings with those little words. "Let's go shall we?"
They both walked back to class with a small smile tugged at each other's lips.
