Kazumi's p.o.v:

Interhigh is near and everyone is working hard on their basketball as well as I before school lessons begin. "Mibuchi-san, you need to work on your stamina. Your shots become a bit careless near the end of the match and Nebuya-san, don't use too much energy on the first quarter."

They all nodded after my observation. "Reo, explain to Kazumi about the Generation Of Miracles", Akashi ordered. 'The generation what?' I wondered.

"Listen carefully Kiyoko-chan, the generation of miracles are the strongest team that was formed in Teiko middle school and Akashi was one of them. They are all incredibly strong and have their own unique skills. For instance, Akashi has the emperor eye that allows him to see the future of his opponents moves" Mibuchi-san explained.

"I find that hard to believe, I've played against him a number of times after he taught me and I've passed him easily before." I boasted confidently.

"Then how about we play a one on one match now Kazumi," a demanding voice could be heard across the court which gave everyone chills, "you've still never beaten me after all those matches so there's nothing to boast about." A smirk brought upon Akashi's lips.

"T-that's because my aiming isn't that good so I can never get it in the hoop," I said embarrassed, "but I'll accept your offer and I'll win this time for sure."

"We'll see about that", he said as he brought a basketball to the court and gave it to Mibuchi-san so he could throw it in the air for us. "Best out of five" , he said.

"Sounds good to me", I replied and the ball was thrown in the air. I jumped and managed to get it even though I'm shorter and dribbled the ball past Akashi. He had a smirk on his face which caused a me to feel annoyed by his never-ending ego.

Before I had realised, the ball was no longer in my hand as Akashi had taken it from me when I tried passing him at the beginning and ran to the hoop and scored. This time, I made sure to get past him by confusing him with my dribbling pattern and went for a fake but the ball was back with him again as he scored effortlessly.

It's as if the ball is attracted to him like he's a magnet. This time I had a plan. When the ball was stolen again from me, I quickly ran in front of him to block him from coming nearer to the hoop. Strangely, I found myself falling down on my bottom as he passed me and shot.

In the end, the score was 5-0 and I lost. "How come you never played against me like this before?" I asked annoyed.

"I would've won too easily if I did and since you were mocking me before, I had no choice but to use it. Know your place Kazumi." He replied in a monotone voice looking down on me.

He sure enjoys looking down on his opponents. I sighed and saw Mibuchi-san come and give me a pat on the back. "Better luck next time! You don't need to be upset, I mean we could all feel your gloom your emitting from the other side of the court", he said trying to make me feel better. I gave a faint smile to show that I was alright now.

I entered the class early to find Kaoru and Mayu-chan the only people in the class talking but Mayu-chan seemed really annoyed. "Don't think I'm like the rest of the girls in this class so don't come casually walking to flirt with me", she shouted angrily.

"Mayu-chan are you..." I was interrupted.

"Look, I just came to talk to you and that's how you take it? Don't be so childish." Kaoru said in which Mayu-chan almost looked like her head was going to explode from all her anger.
