Kazumi's p.o.v:

After a shower, I dressed in the clothes that I could find in the wardrobe which was a black top, a long black cardigan and black jeans.

I heard someone knock on my door and opened it to find a maid of the Akashi household. "If you follow me Kiyoko-sama this way", she said as she bowed and headed down the stairs.

I thought Akashi was going to get me but it doesn't matter. she led me to a huge room which supposedly looked like a dining room since Akashi is having his breakfast.

"Kazumi, sit down and eat. I'll be heading out once I finish so I suggest you hurry up", he ordered. I sat down next to him where the food was placed to see a traditional Japanese breakfast which seemed to have been made by a professional.

I began to munch down and it tasted delicious! The food which I had to rely on was from my own cooking skills which tasted horrible which is why I have take-away or buy ready made meals from local shops.

Half way finished on my breakfast, I noticed Akashi getting up. "Are you done yet?" he sighed as he wore his jacket. I reluctantly stopped myself from taking another bite and got up following after him.

"So what do you do in your spare time?" I asked as we went into a limo.

"Mornings are my free time so I go to a community and contribute in Shogi tournaments as well as practice," he explained, "that's where we are heading now."

"I've played shogi before! My gramps taught me it when I went to live with him at the countryside. It's really enjoyable but I don't really face many tough opponents other than gramps", I replied cheerfully.

"Who might be gramps?" He asked as if I peaked his interest.

"He's Hinako's father, a really nice person and very different to his son", I chuckled. Before long, we were there and went inside to a tranquil environment with many concentrated shogi players in a match.

"How about a match?" he suggested. I nodded and we headed to a shogi board replacing everything in its correct place.

"So what is your usual estimate on winning against someone?" I asked while I moved a pawn.

"Normally it's 5 to 10 minutes", he replied while confidently countering my move with a pawn. I moved a piece and managed to take down the pawn that was countering my pawn. "From the way you are playing, you can use at least six different strategies and I get the feeling you already know that", he observed which was correct.

Three hours had passed and we were near to an end. By this time, a crowd had gathered around us watching us play since Akashi was frequent player in this place and was still on his first game.

"I'll admit you are a worthy opponent", he said as he looked at you with his heterochromatic eyes that showed a hint of happiness under his usual straight face.

"However", he said looking back to the board and lifting up a piece, "check mate."

The crowd broke off all whispering to each other. "Excuse me miss, we hope you can come another time. There are other players who'd enjoy to play against you", a man said and I nodded in agreement.

I sighed at my loss of defeat but looked at Akashi with a smile. "I did not expect that", I said as I stretched my arms and got up.

"It seems I've spent all my time on this one game so we should get going", he said as he got up with his coat in hand and we headed to the door.
