Chapter 17: A Moment To Never Forget

Kazumi's p.o.v:

The school was swarming with visitors from all around Kyoto and probably from Tokyo as well as Rakuzan high was a prestigious school. I decided to head out and check out all the other classrooms as well as the stalls held outside.

Sounds of chatter and laughter was dispersed around the school as I walked along the hallway. "Kiyoko-chan!" A voice called my name to see Mibuchi-san, Hayama-san and Eikichi-san coming towards my way. "Hey guys, what are you up to?" I asked.

"We have our free time right now so we were just checking some classes", Mibuchi-san explained.

"Me too, how about we check them out together", I suggested.

"Sounds great!" They replied in unison. We checked out different classes and headed to a maze which was in Arata's class and it was surprisingly fun. After, we went to the stalls outside and bought some takayoki which tasted delicious.

I never knew how fun it is to just spend some time with people, I guess this is what friends do together and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. "Kiyoko-chan, you don't mind if I call you Kazumi-chan, do you?", Mibuchi-san asked.

"Not at all, you can all call me by my first name if you like", I replied cheerfully while enjoying another bite of my takayoki. "If we're to call you Kazumi, then you are to say our first name, ok?" He replied in which they all nodded in agreement.

This made me remember reading online that when one begins to call each other by their first name, they are really close like friends. I nodded my head with a grin on my face, "now how about we go try out some more desserts Reo-senpai" and went to another stall.

"I think you've had enough sugar today but I guess we can go get more", he replied with a chuckle as we bought more sugary sweets. Spending time with the senpais made time fly by and my shift was about to start.

I excused myself from them and they suggested that I go see the play they were going to do in their class which was before the bonfire which I agreed to. I made my way up to my class to see it mildly packed with visitors in the haunted house and the cafe but there was no sign of Akashi.

"Kazumi! Great you're here, now quickly go and get dressed up but there's bad news," she explained, "one of the students who wore the maid outfit went off with a friend before changing so the only one we have left for you is the black loli maid outfit since you were the last one to arrive", she sighed.

I face palmed and gathered up the courage to go and dress in to that outfit. "I'll do it for the class, okay? I need to participate somehow but don't laugh at me when I come out."

"No one will be laughing, I'm sure of it," she reassured, "now get in there."

I went in and wore the maid outfit and slyly yet shyly came out to be greeted with a huge smile from ear to ear from Mayu-chan which made me feel embarrassed. She added a few hair accessories and noticed I wasn't wearing something.

"Where are the cat ears?"

"I decided to leave them out"

"You can't wear an incomplete outfit," then went into the changing room to grab it, "wear it."

"Fine" I groaned. Once I was ready, we went to the class to find that all eyes were on me which made my face warm up as I wasn't used to attention. "Now go help the rest out", Mayu-chan pushed me further inside in which I heard someone whistle.

I sighed and walked to a customer with a notepad given by another maid. Remembering the instructions Mayu-chan listed the other day, I greeted them with a smile. "How may I help you masters?"
