GOOBER
CHAPTER NINE

Ethan raised my hand up to his lips, laying a gentle kiss upon it. I blushed, feeling giddy with butterflies. It was strange to me how I'd only hung out with this man once before, yet everything he did made me feel so giddy.

"How were lunch and the movie? What did you see?" He asked. Confusion fell upon me; how did he know about that? Gage. I cleared my throat and looked out of my window, and then at him. I told him what movie we saw and gave him a rundown of it.

"Gage posted you and Lanie on his snap story. Speaking of, add me," He explained as he handed his unlocked phone to me. I opened Snapchat and scanned his code, adding him. I handed the phone back to him and intertwined our hands once again.

We pulled up to a fancy-looking, modern house. It wasn't too big, but it definitely wasn't small. It was white on the outside with large windows scattered across the front. I liked that he didn't have a huge, multi-million-dollar mansion. It made him seem humbler, especially given his social status.

"It's so beautiful," I said as I admired his home. It truly was a gorgeous house. From the black accents of the outside, the lights inside made the beauty of the house stand out gorgeously, making it look gold and bright.

"Thank you." He said. I nodded and looked at him, and he did the same. He parked the expensive car and we both went inside. I was astonished, it was even more gorgeous inside.

"So, I'll give you a little tour of the place." He said with a cute little dance. I smiled widely and followed. I stopped to look at a piece of artwork, "That's our family portrait, and that's me." He explained as he pointed to one of the young twin boys. We then continued through the house.

"This is the living room. We can chill here or my room, your pick." He said.

I smirked slightly. "Your room." He laughed and nodded his head.

"Okay," he said as we kept walking. "This is the kitchen, obviously." He said, I laughed and admired the room. It had dark cabinets that complimented the light, marble counters. There was a silver fridge and the whole house's floors were a light tan with a little bit of darkness scattered in them. It was truly stunning.

We then went up the staircase. There was a large window, much like the ones on the front of the house, right in the middle of the small intersection-like hallway. "Those are just a bunch of guest bedrooms, and that's my brother's room when he stays here," he pointed to the left, towards the bedroom doors. He turned to the right and began walking again. "And this is my room," he pointed towards the first door on the right side of the hallway. "Those are a few more guest bedrooms." He pointed at the rest of the doors before opening his own.

We went inside and he took off his sweatshirt, lifting up his shirt underneath just enough so I could see his back muscles. My eyes widened and I looked away out of fear of being caught staring, even though I didn't want to. He pulled it back down and told me to get comfortable. I took off my jacket and set it on the chair in the corner of the room where he set his sweatshirt. We both jumped into his bed, and he opened his Netflix account. He scrolled through countless movies, before finding the perfect one. I smiled in awe at how attractive he was. I liked this version of Ethan. The one that wasn't intimidating or serious. He's fun to be around when he's just being himself.

"You're cute," I said. He looked at me with a childish smile. I laughed and he did as well. I knew it was going to be a great night.
