Crumbs

The sign had snow at the rim, decorated in bright royal blue Christmas lights. It was held up by a pole that stuck in the ground, covered in a clean, untouched layer of snow. At it's very center, the word Snowbelle was carved into it.

A man in a winter coat and a cap for a hat came up to this sign and expected it nicely. Rubbed his nose with his gloved finger and read. Snowbell. His chilled lips curved up and made his red cheeks turn into plums.

He had a box in his hand. But it had a ribbon wrapped around it, cutting through every side. The box had candy canes all over it along with small, cartoony snowflakes.

Walking past the sign, he entered the town and the reminiscing began. Past the homes, he saw the gym, the shops, and the undying amount of snow.

It was cloudy enough to make the lighting of the day soft and grey, giving it a heartwarming, cold Christmas Eve morning feel to it. The town was only a little different from when he saw it last. For the Christmas lights set around the place is what made it a little new to him. Lights of all colors hung from roofs and other places like walls and benches and even parts of the sidewalk.

Snowbelle liked Christmas, that's for sure.

The man walked the sidewalk to the other side of town where he knew there'd be nothing but snow, a few trees, and a couple benches. Maybe some Christmas lights, too. When finally reaches the spot, he takes his seat on one of the wooden bench. Of course, he had to sweep off some of the snow from it first. He chose the one bench under a tree since it pleased him to be under the thing as it allowed the snow to only fall in front of him, not on him. It was like something you'd only see on a computer screen, but a thousand times better.

He waited.

Took about two tons of snow to be cleaned and moved in Snowbelle until she arrived.

The woman appeared  in a heavy coat like the man's, only pink in color while his were shades of blue. She also came with a present in hand.

He blue eyes stared at him as she walked. She couldn't help but smile underneath the scarf she'd put around her neck. Ash, she thought.

She took a seat next to him and placed the present she had on her lap.

"Hey," he spoke first.

She replied back, "Hello."

It was a little awkward at first before Serena crossed her legs and smiled as she handed over her gift to Ash. He it, smiling back.

It was a bunch of snacks such a macaroons, cookies, and brownies. The type of stuff he'd die for to receive. "Holy Miltank." He gazed at them with gleaming eyes. "Thank you so much," he thanked, already grabbing at some of the snacks.

It took him a bite or two into one of his chocolate chip cookies until realizing she still had his gift for Serena beside him.

"Oh," he spoke with pieces of cookie in his mouth, "I forgot." He grabbed it quickly with his one hand and handed it to her.

She took it with both hands and set it on her lap. Thanking him, she began to open it by ripping at the wrapping. After tearing most of it off, she was lift with the lid to the box and lifted it up, allowing her eyes to look down on some purple, lavender flowers. It was in a small cave kept in tact by some styrofoam. There was a red ribbon wrapped around it's neck. She smiled.
