I'm sorry about no one-shots coming out lately. I wish I could have the excuse of "oh it's my finals and I've bee studying!" No. I don't study. Lol. But, either way, I'd like to say it's because of my depression right now. I didn't have it for a while, but for some reason it kind of decided to come back at me with full force. So yeah. Sorry.

White

The snow acted like feathers that day. Soft, slow, and light. It painted a perfect white atmosphere out in the forest. The pine trees' pine needles glistened due to the sun's warm, but cold sunlight. For the breeze distorted it, leaving the trees to freeze for yet another night.

Yet, in the middle of this white winter wonderland,  sat a dark and light blue Pokémon with a bright pink tongue. He sat atop one of the rocks, eyes closed. Another more orange and red Pokémon looked from afar.

Greninja listened to the cold breeze and the falling snow carefully, trying his best to ignore the cold surrounding him. He wanted to focus all his energy on just... sitting.

Until the sound of a branch breaking got him to open his eyes.

He quickly stood up and turned his head around to spot his friend Braixen staring over at him, trying her best to hide behind a tree. But her tail kind of gave her away.

"Nin!" Greninja yelled over into the trees, jumping off of his rock and into the freezing snow. "Ninja."

Braixen tilted her head over and out from behind the tree, looking back over at Ash's Pokémon. She felt her heart pound in her chest. She was caught watching again.

Greninja nodded his head to the ground, waving Braixen over towards him.

The fire type Pokémon sighed and weaker over toward him, her stick dragging against the snow behind her before deciding to stick it back into her tail.

When she reached the taller Pokémon, she continued to look at the ground.

"Greninja." You shouldn't be out here.

"Brai-"

"Ja." Greninja set his hand on Braixen's shoulder and forced her to look up at him. Greninja closed his eyes to show that he was smiling. He was holding out a lively white flower to Braixen. "Gre. Take it."

Blushing, she took the flower and looked at it, grazing the pedals with the fur on her finger.

Greninja grinned and walked back towards his rock where he sat once again, trying, once again, to ignore the freezing cold underneath him.

Braixen followed. She stared and watched him sit so soundly on the rock and in the snow. She took her stuck out of her tail and lit a small flame at its tip.

Greninja opened his eyes back up and looked at Braixen, noticing her flame. "Gre. Put it away."

"But it's cold," Braixen told him, nearing closer.

"I want it to be cold."

"Why?"

"It a challenge for me."

" That doesn't make much sense." Braixen folded her arms and let the flame off her stick shake at her side.

"I'm. Meditating," he told her slowly, hoping she'd understand.

"But wouldn't it help you more if you were warm?"

The water type Pokémon sighed. She continued to not understand.

Jumping up from his rock, he landed in front of it. "Come with me," he told her and began to walk towards the trees.

Braixen followed.

Eventually, the two of them reached a lake... and a waterfall. Frozen in time. The sun glistened off of the ice like they did the pine needles, but only to a greater extent.

Braixen stared in aw as Greninja set himself atop another rock almost directly across from the frozen waterfall. He closed his eyes once again and tried his best to focus his mind as the cold air bit at his elbows and knees- not to mention his tongue.

"Braix- xen." The Pokémon stumbled over her words. She saw the frozen lake covered in patches of snow, the waterfall's icicles pointing down like raindrops, and white flowers matching the one in her hand. She walked over towards the group of them and smelled them, grouping them together in her hands.

The Ninja Pokémon continued to sit down and breath in the frozen air.

Time passed until the sun went missing. The stars decided to come out and become visible. It was nighttime.

"Brai," Braixen approached the water type Pokémon with her stick in hand once again, a flame flickering from its tip.

"No," Greninja said. He wanted to stay focused just a little bit longer.

"But you're freezing." She landed a hand on his shoulder only to feel him as colder than what she expected him to be. "My goodness!" She pulled her hand back away. "Greninja, you need to stop this. We should head back towards the camp now and go back to our trainers. We'll be lye if we wait any longer enough."

"The blue in the sky hasn't disappeared yet," Greninja said, even though his eyes had been closed this entire time.

"Sure, but it's still a long walk back."

"Very well." Greninja opened his eyes and looked back at Braixen. "But don't follow me back here next time. It's not like I didn't notice you followed me to my meditation spot."

"Sorry," Braixen blushed for the second time.

The Pokémon walked back to the camp with Braixen lighting up the way with her stick, keeping Greninja warm at the same time. Of course, Greninja wasn't going to tell her, but he enjoyed her company and her fire type ability to keep him warm in times like these.

"Do you still have that flower that I gave you?" He asked, looking straight ahead into the forest.

"Yep!" Braixen's face lit up. "I stuck the end of the stem into the fur of my tail." She waved it. "I think it looks pretty good."

Greninja looked down from looking at the skyline and looked over towards Braixen's tail. Although his expression was flat, he nodded. "It's cute."

The fire type Pokémon wanted to freeze in her tracks when he said such a thing. But doing something like that would have him notice her crush on him. So, instead, she tried her best to create a smile that didn't seem so nervous. "Thanks, Greninja," she said sheepishly.

"Of course." He stared back up at the sky.

Silence covered them like a sheet... that is, until two more minutes in their walk passed by. "You also do know that I know you have a crush on me, right?"

"WHAT?!"
