Him
It had two days since we had last seen each other and I still couldn't get my mind off of Hiroko. I had thrown myself into every activity that was offered to us in hope of distracting my thoughts. Nothing had worked. Her memory continued to linger in the back of my mind. We had flown over volcanos and surfed out at sea. I had thought of her every single moment I was out exploring. Swimming with turtles, experimenting with henna tattoos, blasting my music. Nothing was working. The feeling of her in my arms wouldn't leave me alone.
Was there something wrong with me? I brushed my bangs out of my face. The car took a sharp turn. Jin's elbow dug into my side. I grunted and moved out of the way.
We would be leaving for the smaller islands soon. I was stoked to spend so much time with my friends. We hadn't had a real break in ages. Whether we were busy working or just goofing off as friends The time spent with them was more precious to me than all the riches in the world;
I gazed out the window at the night sky. It was so fascinating to watch it streak passed us. I had rarely seen such stunning displays of constellations back in Korea. There were The stars were so vibrant here. They decorated the great dome of the sky like diamonds. I wondered if Hiroko had had a chance to see them.
There it was again. I needed to distract myself. I cranked the volume on my headphones and leaned back in my seat.
Jimin was shaking me awake. My mouth tasted dry. "Where are we?" I croaked.
His cat-like smile was outlined in moonlight. I stepped out of the confines of the car on numb legs.
"We're back at the hotel. And from what it sounds like, the staff's having a pool party. Wanna go join them?"
My eyes were barely staying open to watch where I was walking. I was in no shape for a swim. He didn't wait for my answer. Jimin, followed by V and Jin, led me half asleep through the lobby. I had to jog to keep up with the group. We dashed up the steps to the hotel front. V and Jimin bolted for the stairs. I tripped four times on the way up. Jin lagged behind and stayed with me, for which I was grateful. How could they run so fast at such an hour? Where did they get the energy from?
"Jimin, slow down." I wheezed as we reached our floor. I was too tired for this. He sped up with a cackle. Jin and V peeled off towards their own rooms. Their laughter chased us down the hall.
Jungkook was no where to be seen in the room. I shurgged, assuming he was still with V and the others in their rooms. I crashed face-first on to my bed.
"Ughhh,"
Jimin pounced on my back. "Come on, hyung. Let's go to the pool!"
My hands found a pillow. I smacked him with it. "I'm too tired to go swimming. I'd rather go to sleep than swim anyways,"
"Please~" he begged. "Pretty please? It will be so much fun! I think I saw Miss Hata down there when we went passed it. Don't you want to go and say hello?" The idea was tempting.
I shoved him off my bed with a grunt. He sprang to his feet. He clasped his hands together pleadingly. "Please, J-Hope? I don't want to go alone."
There was no getting out of this, was there? I caved. "Fine, I'll come down with you. But let me get a few minutes of shut eye first. I'm wiped out from today."
He tackled me with a side hug. "Thank you, hyung. You won't regret this."
