Him
*Skip to the airport arrival in Seoul, South Korea*
I shuffled off the boarding deck, bone-tired despite spending the flight home passed out on a neck pillow. I stretched my arms, yawning. I'm so glad to be rid of the confining seats of an airplane. It wasn't exactly the best to have Jimin passed out and drooling on my shoulder for the past three hours either. I smiled at the memory of boarding. There was very little fanfare but I spotted one or two fansites hidden deep in the shifting crowds back in Hawaii. At least there weren't any visible sasaengs in the crowd. They could make things...difficult.
Ah, to be home. Traveling was wonderful, but getting a break at home for even a couple days was the true blessing. The past weeks had been blurred memory-like snapshots of my members smiles, long days on the beach getting tan, with a few stolen moments with Hiro while no one was watching in the mix.
I yawned again, discreetly covering my mouth with a hand. I needed a nap. Preferably in my own bed. I tugged on the brim of my hat to further hid my face from the surging crowd. Fans could get a bit carried away when we came back from trips.
I headed towards the luggage pick-up. The airport seemed busier than it normal was for spring. I had to push my way past several people, muttering apologies as I made my way through the throng. I grinned and stuffed my hands in my pockets as I walked. Hiroko was a few steps ahead of me today. She was already waiting for her luggage.
Our seats had been on different ends of the plane this flight, putting her next to Ara at the back of the plane and me in the front with RM and Jimin.
I kept my mouth shut as I got closer to the luggage line.
Hiro stood outside a small knot of camera personal which seemed strange for some reason. I frowned. That had been her department earlier in her internship. Maybe it was awkward to be with them again after her transfer.
I edged closer but left a good five feet of space between us. I kept my hands in my pockets, maintaining the illusion of studying the luggage for my own. My heart rate jumped up as she glanced sideways at me. I whistled softly and pulled out my phone to act like I hadn't noticed her.
"Hey," I said to thin air.
She stepped forward to snatch a small-ish looking dufflebag off the conveyor belt before settling back near her original spot.
"Hey,"
I glanced around the airport lazily. Two members to the right, staff in the luggage line, and the rest of BTS to our left. "How was your flight?"
She slipped in an earbud but didn't press play on her screen. "Ara is an unbelievably loud snorer. I don't think her future husband will last the honeymoon when he finds out he'll be sleeping next to a train."
I laughed so loud that heads turned in my direction. I faked a cough in an attempt to cover it up. Oops.
"I'm so sorry you had to fly like that." I said when I finally caught my breath.
Her phone vibrated, screen lighting up with a text bubble. She ignored it. "I'm not the one who has to deal with that every night like her boyfriend." I smiled and looked down to keep from meeting her eyes.
"What are your plans the week we're home?" I asked.
She tapped something out on her phone screen. "Avoiding Chai for starters," she huffed angrily. "Maybe keep away from Jina for a few days."
I chuckled. "Good luck with that. When are you free? I want to teach you how to rap."
I took great pride in the look of utter shock on her face as she turned to me. Through her heavily tinted glasses I could see the surprise clear as day in her eyes. "Me?" She pointed at herself with a finger. "Rapping? You must be joking."
I grinned. "I'm serious! I want to teach you. C'mon, it'll be fun!" She covered her face with her hands as she laughed. Color bloomed in her cheeks and she turned to the side to hide it. I reached to take her hand. I stopped, shoving the rebellious hand in a pocket. No, I couldn't do that here. I shouldn't even be doing this.
"Hey," The space between us was so small. I would easily be able to reach across it if I wanted to. And, oh, how I wanted to.
"I am serious, Hiro." I bit the inside of my cheek. I hoped my friends weren't able to catch sight of me and her. I prayed there were no cameras near by.
Her hand fell to her side. I felt my own hand slip from my pocket to dangle in the same space as hers. So close...
"Can I get back to you on it?" Her eyes were fixed forward, perfect pink lips curled at the edges in the faintest trace of a smile. My heart pounded. In the crowded airport, it was all I could hear.
I kept my outward expression as cool as hers. "Yeah. You still have my number, right?"
"Mm," She glanced at a watch on her wrist. "I have to go." A pinched face woman was yelling at some of the staff members to my left. Her words were lost in the bustle of the crowded platforms but her meaning was clear. She was looking for someone.
"Be safe, okay?"
"I will. Bye," She melted into the crowd before I could say another thing. I waved faintly at the spot where she had disappeared. I snagged my bag off the belt before turning to find the rest of BTS.
Thank you everyone for the support. We reached 1.92K this week! This means so much to me guys it literally was the highlight of my day.
I have some good and bad news. I am almost done with school so that means more updates this month and in June! I also finished sketching out most of the plot line so I only have the details and a few holes to fill now. The bad news is that I am barely home for the majority of the summer. I'll be out of town for a few weeks so I won't have time between trips to write much. But with most of the plot now outlined I can get chapters up and posted at a faster rate for when I am home.
Speaking of chapters, I need some help for some of them. Quite a few of the chapters that I have sketched out have date scenes that aren't filled in yet. For every cute date idea people comment, ones that I like or think will go well with the storyline will get featured, along with that chapter being dedicated to you and a shout out!
Here are the requirements:
