Chapter 37

Ariana's POV
I looked up at the house. God, it was big, no massive. I walked through into the courtyard. I was just admiring the work on the house when I heard someone behind me.
"You know is rude to sneak up on people." I commented not even sure who it was.
"Sorry but you are in my house, Aria." He replied. He knew my name. I finally turned round to come face to face with Marcel.
"Why it's a pleasure to see you again Marcel." I said as he chuckled before replying.
"I would say the same to you but the last thing I remember was you killing my friends." My smirk disappeared as I looked down guiltily.
"I'm sorry about that. I really didn't mean to." I told him as he nodded before replying.
"It's in the past don't worry about it. I believe your here to see Davina." I nodded my head as I guessed that was the witches name.
"Well then, come with me." He said before walking up the stairs onto the balcony and into the house. I swiftly followed. By the time I had caught up with him he was standing at the doorway of a room. When I looked inside I saw a beautiful bead with a little table next to it. A set of chairs with a bigger table next to them, in the corner. I noticed another doorway across the room, I guessed that a was the bathroom. The I noticed the girl looking out the window. This must be Davina.
"Davina..." Marcel said as she turned around and eyed me.
"This is Aria." He said. She walked up to me and looked at me.
"The hybrid." She said in her voice. She was younger then me but I could sense her power.
" yes the hybrid. Can we talk?" I asked as she nodded. I looked over to Marcel and gave him the look that said 'you can leave now.' He obviously caught on as he left.
"Hi Davina. I know we haven't met before but I really need your help." I said my voice getting close to a whisper.
"Aria I haven't controlled my powers that well either. But you know what why don't we look through some Grimwores and try it out." She said. She seemed happy and I could already see us becoming good friends.
"But," oh no here it comes, "don't pay tricks. You still a vampire. That's all I'm asking." She said. I looked at her and I could see hurt in her eyes. But from the pain she got confidence and bravery. That's something I admired.
"I don't play tricks, trust me." I told her as she smiled.

Davina's POV

"I don't play tricks, trust me." She told me. I saw a flicker of hurt was over her eyes. She sniffed. I felt bad for her, someone had obviously hurt her in some way. I put my hand on her shoulder as her eyes shot up and looked at me. Those bright blue eyes looked at me surprised.
" Are you ok?" I asked her as she let out a fake smile.
"I'm find it's just... You know what, I don't want to look into the past. Let's look at those Grimwores then. Shall we?" She said standing up. I looked up to her and I smiled deciding to agree with her and not ask her anymore about it. I stood up and grabbed her hand pulling her out the door and into the study where all the Grimwores were. Well as many as we had. I handed her one of the Grimwores and she looked down at it before carefully opening it. As she read through the book she sat down. I came and sat next to her and flicked through it with her.
"This spell can make vampire minds like explode in pain. Basically it hurts them but ,depending on how powerful your spell is, it won't work as well on older vampires." I told her most of the knowledge I knew. I did know stuff it was just I couldn't control it.
"Cool. I wanna have a go." She said as I laughed.
"Do you see a vampire?" I asked. She sighed and mumbled.
"No." She sighed.
"It's really easy when you try though, and someone as powerful as you could do it on your first go." I saw her smile as we turned to the next page.
"This spell can make invisible barriers, kinda, that stop people from getting out. There really useful. It usually takes a while to prepare but if you good it doesn't take to long." I explained to her as her eyes lit up in excitement as we turned over the page. I could really she a friendship growing here. I began explained the next spell.
"This one can stop people from moving. They can struggle but there feet won't move."
"Can I try this?" She asked.
"Sure." I said as I stood up. She then stood up after me.
"Now focus on the spell and don't let me move. Try." She seemed nervous at first but she put her hand out in front of her and closed her eyes, concentrating. Suddenly I couldn't move.
"You did it!" I smiled as she opened her eyes and smiled to.
"That's so cool. Can I do it to two people at once?" She asked. I shrugged not really sure what to answer to it. A bird was standing on the balcony and I saw Aria begin to focus again. Soon enough the bird couldn't move. It was flapping his wings but he couldn't move and neither could I.
"Stop now Aria." I told her as she looked at me.
"How?" I began to panic a bit but I wouldn't let it show as I began to explain.
"Just loose complete and utter focus. Let go." I told her and soon enough I was free. I sighed with relief as I sat down again. Soon followed by Aria.
"I did it, and it was controlled." She whispered to herself.
"You did it. Well done." I whispered back to her. We both smiled as we looked at some more spells.

Ariana's POV

After looking through a load of spells and tested some of them out. I felt as of I have already been a witch for a year. I felt the power coarse through me. I could do so much all I wanted to do was try it. Yet I knew that my control wasn't perfect but it was ok. It was ok for now. Davina was so nice to me. I ask all these questions and I felt so dumb. Sometimes we would learn the spell together. When I looked back at the very front of the book I saw a name written in.

Wasn't she Nicks mother. I looked over to Davina, who picked up on my curiosity.
" Klaus dropped them of yesturday as he figure you'd need them to learn." I nodded understanding now. I smiled, he really would do that for me.
"Shall we take a break. I'm tired." I moaned as Davina laughed.
"Let's go shopping!" I announced as Davina's smile faded.
"I can't leave Marcel won't let me." She frowned, and that made me frown.
"Don't be controlled. It's not right. If I say we're going shopping. We're going shopping. Besides nothing is as powerful as me. So you won't get hurt, I give you my word." I told her. Her smile arose again as she nodded.
"Let's go then." I said. She nodded as we headed outside and borrowed Marcel's car to take to the mall.
"Text him your with me and we are going shopping then he won't fret." I told her as I started the engine.
"Ok ." She replied as we headed of to go shopping.
