dan's pov
"honey you should go, everyone else in your class is."
"but i don't want to, besides what kind of mom encourages her son to go to a party that will last past midnight that has alcohol and a bunch of horny teenagers."
"well, me apparently i guess." mom laughed. "i bet if you call pj he'll pick you up."
"mom you're not seeing my point, i. do. not. want. to. go."
she didn't listen.
"you can't just stay cooped up in your room all your life, go with your friends, go have fun." she said.
it would not be fun. "but mom." i tried.
"don't but mom me mr. sassy."
i sighed. fighting with her wasn't worth it, and it was only one party. well, one party that i didn't want to go to.
"fine mom i'll go." i said accepting defeat.
she clapped her hands excitedly. "good! you better call pj if you want to make it on time."
"okay." i left the kitchen and walked back up stairs to my room. i could just not call him, i thought. could just walk out and pretend i went. it wasn't worth it, i picked my phone up off the bed and began typing in the numbers for pj's phone. usually he's not that reliable for picking up but this time he did.
