phil's pov

i didn't think he would actually come in. i was joking, could he not tell?

we sat there for a bit just looking at each other. i didn't know what to say so i kept quiet hoping he would start a conversation. luckily dan eventually broke the silence.

"so... why are you sitting in a tub?"

"i don't know. i just kind of came here and stayed. i didn't want to go back out with everyone else."

"that sounds like something i would do." he laughed.

"yeah, maybe but unlike you i wouldn't sit in a tub with a random stranger." i said playfully.

he laughed again. when he laughs the skin beneath his eyes crinkle up to show dimples on his cheeks.

"is your hair natural?" i didn't know what else to say but i wanted to hold the conversation.

he ran his hand through his chocolate curls. "yeah, i usually straighten it but i didn't have enough time." he propped his arm on his knees in front of his face hiding everything but his eyes. "all people who've been misfortunate enough to see it says that but i don't believe them."

"no, it looks cute."

"see your just like them!" dan laughed. i smiled too, his voice got really high for being a guy. "ugh." he sighed still laughing. "i really hate parties."

"do you want to leave then?" i asked.

he hesitated and looked at his phone."uh yeah maybe, but it's nearly 12 a.m, nothing's open."

i awkwardly jumped out of the tub and grabbed dan's hand pulling him up practically dragging him out the door eagerly.

" i know a place." i said barley able to contain my grin.
