~Niall's P.O.V~
"Ok, we should play one more booth before we go to the Ferris wheel" Kate said pointing to the only booth we haven't played yet.
"Ok, but then we have to go on the Ferris wheel" I chuckled as she grabbed my hand and we started walking in that direction. I secretly looked down at her hand intertwined into mine. I can't wait until the Ferris wheel, I need to be able to call her mine. I shook my head and noticed that we were at the booth. The game was balloon darts. I looked around for the booth runner until I found her. Oh my god it can't be....
"Welcome to Balloon darts! 1 dollar for 3 darts.....'' the women said turning to face Kate and I. I could feel my face starting to turn red as she started to realize who I was.
"Niall? Oh my goodness sweetheart!" She said walking out from behind the booth and pulling me into a hug.
"Hi mum" I replied hugging her small body. Why was she here? I mean not that I don't love her but why here? now?!
"I'm glad to see you came" she said pulling out of the hug and looking over to Kate, "and who is this beautiful lady?"
"Oh that's Kate" I said looking over at smiling Kate. She must be loving meeting my mum or she is just really polite because a giant adorable smile has been plastered on her face the entire time.
"Oh, nice to meet you, Im Niall's mom but you can call me Laura" She said.
"Nice to meet you too" Kate replied tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.
"It's nice to see you finally found a girlfriend Niall" My mum chuckled as she made her way back behind the booth. Does she think Kate's my girlfriend? Oh god.
"Mum, Kate's just a friend" I said quietly, feeling a rush of heat fill my face.
"Ah, I see" she laughed. I gave her a small glare than walked back to Kate's side.
"I think we should get going" I said gesturing to Kate hoping she would see how uncomfortable I was becoming.
"Ya, it was nice meeting you" Kate said picking up my hint and waving to my mum.
"Ok, well you too have fun, oh and Niall, Maddy should be somewhere around here I bet she would love to see you" My mum said waving good bye. I waved back and quickly turned on my heel and started walking towards the Ferris wheel, Kate at my side.
"Well she seems nice" Kate giggled as soon as we were far from the booth.
"Ya, nice is the word" I chuckled putting my hands in my pockets.
"Come on Niall, she seems like a really nice woman" She replied looking up at me.
"Ok, ya she is, most of the time" I said as we made out way towards the Ferris wheel line.
"So..." Kate said looking down at her stuffed dolphin she won earlier today, "Who's Maddy?"
"Oh my god Kate" I laughed rubbing my hands over my face. The innocent and confused look spread throughout her face was absolutely adorable. She just stood there completely confused on why I was laughing so hard.
"What?" she asked.
"Kate" I stuttered between laughs,"-Maddy is my-" "-15 year old sister-". The look on her face when I told her was priceless. Her checks quickly turned a light pink and her brown eyes widened.
"Oh" was the only thing she could choke out before she joined me laughing. We soon got our spots in the Ferris wheel line which wasn't that long, thank the lord. Kate and I talked about the most random things for a good 10 minutes before I saw a dirty blonde haired girl walk into the line behind us. Her blue eyes and dimples immediately stood out and I quickly realized who it was. The funny thing is that she hadn't seen me yet. I quickly turned towards the Ferris wheel away from her.
"What's the matter" Kate asked looking around.
"That's Maddy" I said motioning behind me. Kate looked behind me and a small smile grew on her face.
"She looks like a girl version of you, just smaller" She giggled.
"Oh shush" I chuckle turning around and facing the small girl.
"Hey Mads" I said as she quickly turned around to face me.
"Niall? Oh my god hey! I haven't seen you in forever!" She squeaked as I pulled her into a hug.
"You know it's only been about a year Maddy" I chuckled as I pulled out of the hug an she took a step back to her friend. Wait she is with a guy. My 'inner older brother' instincts immediately kicked in and I could feel my eyes lock on the kid. He looked a few inches taller than Maddy and had dark brown hair and blue eyes.
"So who's this?" I asked pointing to the random boy standing next to her.
"Who's she?" She challenged a small grin escaping her lips as she motioned towards Kate.
That sneaky little girl.
"This is my friend, Kate" I said looking over at Kate, "Now who is he?''
"This is Olivier, my uh boyfriend" she said looking over at the boy then back at me.
"Boyfriend huh? at 15? Wow, you've got a special girl here Olivier, anyways Maddy, now that you have a boyfriend has mom and dad given you the sex talk yet?" I replied but as soon as I said it both of their faces turned a bright pink.
"Niall" Kate giggled shoving my shoulder "God be nice she's your sister"
"Ya my younger sister, I need to make sure that she is safe with this boy" I said turning back towards Maddy and her boyfriend.
"So Olivier, what are your intensions with my little sister.....'' I said before getting cut off by the guy running the Ferris wheel.
"Next!" he yelled and Kate grabbed my arm motioning me to climb up the stair towards the Ferris wheel. I quickly waved bye to Maddy and followed Kate up in the our seat. The guy running the ride looked around in his late 40's and was missing the hair on the top of his head. He gave us the run down on what we can and can't do while on the ride and then sent us off, the Ferris wheel slowly starting to spin. Once we reached the top it stopped rocking our cart slowly.
"Excuse me all riders, we are experiencing some minor problems with the Ferris wheel, please keep calm and we will have you spinning in a few minutes" the man said over a megaphone at the bottom of the Ferris wheel. I looked over at Kate who didn't even look like she was effected by the pause.
"It looks so beautiful up there" She said starring at the sky full of stars.
"Ya, it does" I said looking up at the sky then over at her, "Almost as beautiful as you". As soon as I said that her head immediately snapped towards me.
"What?" She asked.
Ok, go in slowly Niall then pop the question. Don't go in to fast or you will scare her away. Ok now breathe and GO!!!!
"Kate, ever since I met you there has been something that I can't get enough of. I don't know if it's your personality or your eyes but there is something about you that I just can't live with out, you know. I know this might sound cheesy because well we are on top of a Ferris wheel and everything but I have been wanting to ask this literally since our first little 'date'. Um, uh Kate, will you bee my girlfriend?"
CLIFFHANGER!!! Im sorry about that but it just needed to happen. Please don't hate me....Haha but anyways there's your update:) It kinda seems more like a Horan Family reunion more than a date but the end was kinda cute, chichè, but cute. Oh and btw, this book hit 300 reads......OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!
