1 hour had gone by feeling like 20 minutes in the shop packed with people. In the last 10 minutes the crowd had at least doubled in size. Audrey and I running around trying to make the orders correctly.
"Here you go" I say as I hand a medium coffee to a gray haired woman on the other side of the counter. She said thank you then turned to walk away but stopped mid way.
"This isn't what I ordered" the woman spat as she walked back to the counter.
"Oh I'm so sorry, let me get you another" I reach out to receive the drink "hot decaf caramel latte am I right?"
"No, I specifically ordered a hot decaf caramel espresso..." The woman huffed. She shoved the drink into my hand. I opened my mouth to say something back but see Max glaring at me to keep my mouth shut. I tossed the drink into the trash and quickly went to make another.
"Ok, here is one hot decaf caramel espresso" I hand the drink to the woman and she impatiently gave me her money.
"Finally..." she mumbled as she took a sip and started to walk away.
"Well your day just keeps getting better and better" Audrey said as she put some money in the cash register.
"Tell me about it" I replied as we both started laughing.
Soon, my shift was over and I went to get my stuff. I reach over to grab my jacket when Max appears in front me giving an old lady a coffee.
"Hey Kate, I may need to take you up on that offer to work late tonight" Max asked "I didn't think we would be still this busy by now"
"Ya sure" I reply as I put my jacket back on the hook and walk back to Audrey.
"I thought you were leaving?" Audrey asked.
"Oh, I love you to Audrey" I sarcastically replied as I started to fill an order.
"Hey I didn't mean it like that" she said laughing in the process.
"I know, Max asked me to work late because of the crowd" I told her after I quickly wrote down an order.
"Oh well thank god he did because it looks like more people just came in.." Audrey sighed as she handed a coffee to a woman across the counter.

"Can you take this to table #3 for me?" she mumbles while she hands me a medium black coffee.
"Um ya sure" I reply as I take the coffee from her and walk out from behind the counter. I step into the crowd and I quickly spot a set of tables lining the giant windows on the far side of the shop. I begin walking over accidentally bumping into a few people spilling some coffee on my hand.
"Here you go" I say as I walk toward table #3. As soon as I am close enough to hand him the coffee I find my self falling. Once I am on the ground I see that I had just spilled the coffee all over the guy in front of me.
"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" I say as I quickly look up to grab napkins from the table but as soon as I do I am immediately preoccupied. All I see are big blue eyes shinning into mine.
