~Niall's P.O.V~
"Ok now open" I say to the girl sitting next to me on my car hood. She slowly removed her hand and her face went to complete surprise.
"Oh my god! it's so beautiful!" she said looking into the sunset.
Just like you I thought to my self.
"Oh my god, where are we? this can't be New York" she said turning to face me.
"Ya, it is" I say smiling back at her "my dad would take me and my brother here when we were lads"
"Wait so you live here?" she asked.
"Ya, well not here, I live about 20 minutes away from here" I replied as she looked back to the sunset.
"Wow, it doesn't seem like we are in New York!" She said then smiled back at me. We watched the sun continue to set until it was out of sight.
"Ok, well sense we know nothing about each other besides that your the girl who spilt coffee on me and I am the guy who broke your phone" I laughed as I looked at my hands then back at the girl "Lets play 20 questions"
"Ya sure!" she said as she turned and faced me.
"Okay hold on a second" I said as I jumped off the car and grabbed a container out of the back seat.
"Grapes! The perfect first date food!" I laughed as I placed them on the hood. I looked up to see her shocked face looking at mine. Oh shit I just said first date. Is this a date? "Oh, well, I just figured that, sense we are both here, that, well" I stuttered as I rubbed my neck then looked back at her face.
"It's ok" she smiled "Well first question! What is your full name?" she asked as she grabbed a grape and plopped it into her mouth. Once we both made eye contact we burst out in laughter knowing that we both had wanted to know that question sense we had met.
"Niall James Horan" I said grabbing a grape myself.
She smiled then answered herself "Kate Elizabeth Potter"
"Ok Kate, question number two, where are you from?" I ask smiling at the thought. Kate Elizabeth Potter. The name that I have been dying to know for the past two days.
"I'm from Burlington Vermont, how about you" she asked plopping another grape into her mouth.
"Well, I'm originally from Ireland but moved to America when I was around 3 years old, and now I live in Roslyn New York" I replied as I motioned around us. She giggled grabbing a few more grapes then began to talk again.
"Ok question number three, how old are you?" she shyly said.
"If you really want know, I am 21, you?" I chuckle as I look into her chocolate brown eyes.
"I'm 19" she said as she looked down into her lap.
"Nice" I said trying to get her to look back up at me. "Ok question four when is your birthday?"
"April 16" Kate replied smiling back up at me "how about you?"
"September 13" I answered "wait today is April 7, your birthday is like next week" I said gently shoving her shoulder.
"Ya, 9 days till the big 2-0" she said as she grabbed another grab and put it in her mouth. "Ok my turn, question five what's your favorite food?"
"My favorite food would have to be pizza, I have become 100% American besides this accent, but I have lost a majority of that too" I laughed making her laugh with me then I looked over at Kate.
...She is laying on her side on the hood of my car. She looks so damn cute. Her blonde wavy hair fell just perfect over her shoulders. Her laugh was also perfect. I wish I could just lean close and kiss her right here, right now...
"Hello? Earth to Niall" she laughs as I pull back to reality realizing that's I was just starring straight at her. I could feel warmth beneath my cheeks which made me laugh with along with her.
"My favorite food is Mac and Cheese, oh and I really like strawberries!" she said tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Question number 6, what's your favorite color?" I asked.
"Purple" she answered motioning to her scarf.
"Ah I see, mine would be green" I said coping her by motioning too my green long sleeve shirt making her laugh.
"Copy cat! ok question number 7, what's your biggest fear?" Kate asked.
"This is going to sound really weird, but my biggest fear is birds flying inside, its like ahhhh don't hit me!" I said.
"Really? like just letting birds fly inside?" she asked curiously.
"Ya, I know it sounds stupid" I reply as I put a grape in my mouth.
"No I get it, my biggest fear is really cheesy though, it's spiders, like spiders freak me out" she said as she pulled down her sleeves, covering her hands.
"Are you getting cold?" I asked scooting towards her.
"A little but it's ok" she replied smiling up at me. I scooted off and grabbed a blanket out of the backseat then got back on the hood with her.
"Here you go" I say as I handed her the blanket. She said thank you and wrapped her self in it taking it as an excuse to scoot closer to her so our bodies were basically touching.
"Question 8, what are your favorite hobbies?" I ask her.
"Um I like to play soccer, I love to write, and well I can sing a little but I can't sing in front of people" she answered looking out into the sky.
"My hobbies are playing guitar, playing football, and I guess eating" I say as I look at her face.
"So eatings a hobby now?" she giggled.
"Yes, it is" I reply.
"Fine, so question 9 what is your family like?" she asked starring into my eyes.
"I have an older brother named Greg who is 26, my dad Sean, my younger sister Maddy who is 14, and my mum Laura, oh and I have a cat Jess" I explain as I grab another grape.
"Nice, well I have an older sister named Sara who is 25, my dad John, my black lab Toby, and well my mom Bethany died when I was 14, of breast cancer" she said snuggling tighter into the blanket.
"I'm so sorry" I replied not really knowing what to say.
"It's ok" she gave me a fake smile and looked back into the sky.
"Ok my turn, question ten" I took a deep breath not know what the answer to my next question would be "are you single?"
She sat up and looked at me. Shit I just blew this whole night. She searched my eyes, curiosity and shock filling hers. I took at deep breath then looked at her face where I could see a faint smile appear on lips. She laid back down and put her head on my shoulder. It was dark out now and the stars lit up the sky above. I looked over at the blonde hair resting on my shoulder then up at they sky.
"Yes, are you?" she said quietly letting out a small yawn. The exact answer I was hoping for.
"Yes" I answered. This was perfect, Kate was wrapped up in my blanket her head on my shoulder, not caring what would happen next I quickly slipped my arm around her.
