Hey look it's a Connor's P.O.V!!!
~Connor's P.O.V~
Everything escalated so fast. One moment Kate and I were laughing our asses off trying to stop a frozen yogurt machine and now I'm hovering above her, us both covered in frozen yogurt. Ok yes I can say that I have a small thing for Kate. She has the perfect personality that any guy would fall for, plus the blonde hair and perfect brown eyes, but those are just added bonuses.
I was laying there starring into Kate's eyes. Both of us were completely silent. I was about to get up but something took over me. I suddenly had the urge to kiss Kate. It was way to strong to try and fight back so I started to lean in. I slowly pressed my lips against hers giving her time to pull away if she wanted, but to my surprise she didn't. We continued to kiss for a few minutes until Kate quickly pushed me off of her. I looked over at her confusion filling my face. She ran her hands over her face multiple times before she turned to face me. I opened my mouth to say something but quickly felt a sharp stink in my cheek. My hand shot up and rubbed my sore cheek.
Did Kate just slap me? Oh my god Kate just slapped me. Why did she slap me? Ow my check hurts.
I continued to rub my check then looked back over at Kate who had her head in her hands.
"What was that?" Kate asked looking over at me.
"What was what?" I said bring my hand down from my face.
"The - kiss" she stuttered.
"Um to be honest I don't know, it kinda just happens in the moment" I said as I stood up off of the ground. I reached my hand out to Kate but she grabbed the chair next to her and helped herself up.
"Oh" she said as she finally stood up in front of me. I looked down at her and saw the mess of yogurt clumped in her hair. I chuckled softly and reached my hand up to wipe some of it out. As soon as my hand touched her hair she took a step away from me and started walking towards the door.
"Kate" I said still standing in my spot. She didn't answer me or stop, actually she did the opposite and sped up and walked out of the door.
"Kate" I said again but this time I jogged out of the shop to she Kate pacing out side.
"Connor, I can't do this, what ever you were trying to do tonight I can't do it, I - I have a boyfriend Connor. This can't happen I'm sorry" She stuttered as she started walked away from me.
"Kate" I said getting annoyed that she continued to walk away from me. She finally stopped and turned to face me.
"If you want to leave then you can, but I'm your ride home so the cars this way" I said adjusting my yogurt covered beanie. She nodded and followed me to my car. Once we were both in the car I started to drive back to NYU. Confused thoughts continued to swarm throughout my head as I stared down the road. Kate was leaning against the window looking at the things that passed by. I never really intended on this being a date. Okay well maybe I did a little, but I never thought that it was going to include kissing Kate. She said that she had a boyfriend but If she did why did she continue to kiss me in the first place? Thoughts like these swarmed through my head making me go absolutely insane. I finally stopped at a red light and looked over at Kate who was still looking out the window.
"Kate, whats the matter?" I asked obviously knowing the answer but I wanted to get her to talk.
"Connor you know why" She mumbled tucking a piece of hair behind her ear but her stare out the window never breaking.
"Tell me" I replied.
"Fine you want to know? I have a boyfriend, a really nice and caring one at that, and I just cheated on him with my best friend who I think I have feelings for. There now you know" She said looking over at me hurt filling her eyes. I nodded and looked back at the road. The light turned green again and I continued to drive towards NYU. You could basically feel the awkwardness filling the car as I pulled into the parking lot. When the car stopped neither of us moved. We sat there just staring at each other.
"Connor can you please tell me something?" She quietly said looking down at her hands then back up at me.
"Ya sure" I replied.
"Tell me that the kiss was just an accident and that we are still just friends. Nothing more nothing less" Kate said. That hit me hard. I wanted to reply but I couldn't my head said that we were just good friends but my heart said something different. I loved Kate but I wasn't sure what that meant to be honest. I took a deep breath and looked at Kate.
"Yes, nothing more nothing less'' I said. She nodded and we both climbed out of the car and made our way back into the school. The lobby was empty and very quiet. The lights flickered slightly and Kate turned to walk towards the girls hallway but stopped and walked over to me. I felt her wrap her arms around my neck and I smiled and pulled her into a hug.
"Thanks for tonight Connor, and I'm sorry about my little flip out, good night" She mumbled as she pulled out of the hug and started walking down her hallway. I stood there and watched her until I couldn't anymore. I ran my hand over my face and started walking towards my dorm.
So I am convinced that wattpad hates me. Yup, I swear it does! I had this chapter fully written a last week ago, saved it, then came back and the entire chapter was gone. Omg was pissed. But anyways that happened to me twice that's why this chapter is soooooooo late. So I'm sorry. Oh and by the way I HAVE 8 DAYS TILL SUMMER VACATION!!!! AHHHH:)
