~Niall's P.O.V~
I slowly closed the my apartment door behind me and walked into my living room. After tossing my keys onto the small coffee table I fell back onto my couch and let out a long sigh. I ran my hands over my face and slowly over the large bandage placed over my nose. It defiantly was broken and the doctor and to snap it back into place twice. Talk about painful. I thought back at the events that happened today and groaned. Because of me Kate reunited with her High School devil and then I had to go back and get beat up.
I never intended on having it go like it did when I went back to Harry's place. Every thing was going fine until Liv just had to go and open her mouth letting out my over protective side. I don't regret standing up for Kate, I mean any good boyfriend would stand up for their girlfriend, but I never meant to slap her. I don't know actually where it came from. Once I did I knew I was in trouble though. It took me a few seconds to realize what I did before Liam was on top of me beating the shit out of me. Harry and Louis were quick to respond and tried to pull us apart while Miss Olivia just sat on the love seat holding her cheek, smirking down at me.
After Liams attack I went to the only place I knew I could go. To Kate. Now that I look back at it, It probably wasn't the best decision I've ever made but I knew she would understand.
Talking about Kate, I should probably text her about my nose.
I reached down and pulled my phone out of my pocket and unlocking it. I opened Kate's name and sent her a text telling her about my nose then placed my phone on the couch beside me. I grabbed the remote and switched on the TV, allowing a new football match take all of my attention. A few minutes later I felt my phone vibrate next to me indicating that I got a text. I looked over expecting to see Kate's name spread across the lock screen but it wasn't. I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, opened the message.
From: Liam
Hey Niall, I'm sorry about today. I have never seen that side of Liv before and I'm not so sure I like it. I'm also sorry about your nose and eye. Are you ok? It just kinda happened after you slapped her:(
I read the message and let out a small smile. I knew Kate was just parinoid when she told me that Olivia was trying to turn Liam and I apart. A girl could never break up a friendship like ours. Its a prime example of the bros before hoes rule.
To: Liam
Hey, it's ok. I was just upset and angry after Kate told what had gone down between them. Oh my nose is fine I guess, it was broken in 2 places but the doctor said that my eye and nose will be fine in a few weeks
After I sent it I placed my phone back onto the couch and continued with the match on TV. About 20 minutes passed with no respond from Kate so I decided to call her instead. Grabbing my phone, I walked into the kitchen and dialed her number hoping for her to pick up. After 3 rings she finally did.
''Hello?''
"Hi Kate it's me" I replied.
"Oh hi Niall, how's your nose?"
"Good I guess, it was broken in 2 places but the doctor said it should heal in a few weeks"
"Oh my god ow!" she responded making making me quietly chuckle.
"Anyways, since our little get together earlier was terrible I was wondering I you wanted to come over tonight for dinner?"
"Ya sure, I would love that"
"Cool, do you want me to pick you up?"
"Please" She laughed.
"Ok see you around 4 ok?"
"Ok bye" Kate said right before the line went dead. I needed to make today up to her and if dinner and a movie will help, I'm all in. I looked down at my phone to see what time it was and 3:42 read across the top. I ran my hand through my hair nervously at my terrible timing and walked over to the pantry. I quickly searched through the wooden closet hoping to find something beside ramen noodles, Mac and cheese, and frosted flakes for dinner tonight. About 10 minutes later I surprisingly had found all the ingredients for spaghetti and placed them on the counter. I walked over to the door and grabbed my jacket then patting my jean pockets for my keys. I then remembered that I put them in the living room so I jogged in and grabbed them off the table. I looked around making sure everything was 'date' proof and clean then walked out of the apartment and made my way to my car.

"So this is your little apartment" Kate asked as we walked through the door into my living room.
"Yep, this is it" I chuckle as I take my jacket off and turn on a small switch fill the room with light.
"Ok well I'm going to go start dinner" I said then walked into the kitchen finding all if my spaghetti ingredients still on the counter. I pulled out a pot and filled it with water then placed it on the stove, trying to remember how my mom use to do this. Once the water started boiling I poured the noodles in and glanced out into the living room to find Kate over near the TV looking through my pictures lined along the wall. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh as I watched her touch one of pictures. It was of my family a few summers ago your lake house.
"I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I have been home" I said making her jump away from the wall. Her face turned a light pink as she realized that she ha been caught.
"Wait what?" She asks walking into the kitchen.
"I haven't been to my house in almost 2 years" I replied while stirring the cooking noodles.
"Why?!" She asked again sitting down at the table and tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"Well my dad and I aren't really on the best terms right now, well for the past 2 or 3 years" I replied as I bent down and searched through the bottom cabinets for the strainer. You would think after living in this apartment for almost a year I would know where my stuff is.
"Oh wow why is that?" Kate asked again.
"Is this ask Niall night or something?" I asked the sarcasm clear in my voice as I turned around to face her.
"It could be" She stated as she started laughing which made me start laughing too. Kate had one of those laughs were you can't help but join along. She hates that but I find really cute. I finally found the strainer and placed it into the sink before dumping the hot water and noodles into it.
After the spaghetti was all finished I quickly set the table placing a few candles near the center. If this doesn't impress her I don't know what will.
"Ok Kate!" I yelled hoping she would hear from the living room. She soon appeared next to me and at down at the table. After plating some spaghetti for the both of us I sat down next to her and we started eating.
"Wow this is really good" She giggled.
"Were you underestimating me Kate?" I replied trying to sound offended. She didn't fall for it but sent me a smile before going in for another bite.
"A little, you don't really come off as the cooking type" She laughed when she finished chewing.
"Oh wow thanks girlfriend" I huffed.
"Your welcome boyfriend" She smiled.
A few minutes later, as we were both almost done, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I quickly pulled it out to see who was calling me but it was an unknown number. I slid to answer then stuck it up to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked into the phone.
"We need to talk now" a way to familiar female voice replied.
Hello my lovely readers:) So as you can see this chapter is really sucky and bad but I needed a filler. I have been trying to plan out the rest of the book and see how many chapters there are going to be left, what's going to happen, where I want it to go, etc. Thank you guys for being so patient and once I figure everything out I will try and let you guys know! Oh and I changed the cover of the book. Do you guys like it?
