Chapter 11

~Kate's P.O.V~

Wednesday started like any other day. Alarm clock waking me up around 8, taking a shower, getting dressed, getting a muffin and going off to class. A lot of people ask how I stick to the same old schedule but hey it works.

"Good morning Miss. Potter" my writing professor said as I walked into class.

"Good morning" I said as I sat down in my usual seat in the front of the classroom. Class eventually started a few minutes later after everyone was here.

"Ok, good morning class" the professor said as he took his spot in the front the the room "Today I am going to let you work on your mid term essays for the entire class, I wouldn't usually allow this but you could say I've had a change in heart, or a change in schedule" he chuckled. After he was done everyone took out their writing journal. I grabbed mine out of my bag and opened to a new page. Ok now what to write.....

I'm not even going to try anymore.

I put my pencil down and put my elbows on my desk resting my head in my hands. I took the pencil again and looked down at the paper.

.....Love is like an open door, it's up to you to decide if you want to go in.....

......Love is mysterious. Love can appear anywhere at any time. Love is difficult and confusing. Sometimes you may not know you are in love.....

Wait that one wasn't too bad.

I quickly looked down at the page to write more when I realized that the class was over. Everyone around me was walking away so I shoved my journal in my bag and followed them. I walked through the crowded lobby and down to the science wing. Once I found my biology class I walked in and sat down at my table.

"Hey Connor" I said as I sat down putting my bag on my chair.

"Hey Kate" He smiled his blue eyes immediately turned to mine "are you ready for the test?"

Oh no. I forgot to study for my biology test. I was going to study after my little meeting in the park with Audrey yesterday but then I ran into Niall.

"Shit" I groaned as I put my head in my hands.

"You forgot didn't you" he almost laughed. I nodded my head in my hands.

"So I ran ALL THE WAY from the science wing to the lobby to give you your test notes yesterday, and you didn't even study?" he said trying to sound offended but it didn't work.

"Well, I was, kinda busy last night and I forgot" I said as I finally lifted my head and looked at Connor. He was wearing a red long sleeve shirt with a grey beanie covering his dirty blonde hair.

"Mhmmm" he said staring me in the eyes. I gave him a small shove making him laugh. I always had a thing for Connor, his blue eyes, perfect smile, and he was just plain adorable but after becoming his lab partner I would always push it to the back I my mind.

"Welcome class, I hope everyone is ready for the test today" our professor, Mrs. Reed said.

"Not everyone..." Connor whispered earning a slap on the shoulder.

"So how do you think you did on the test?" Connor asked as we walked out of the classroom.

"Not good" I said looking down at my feet.

"Oh well I think I aced it, just to let you know" he said as I smile crept onto his lips.

"Oh my god you need to stop" I laughed as I shoved him against the wall.

"Oh wow don't hurt me Kate" he said putting his hands over this face "at least don't hit my face" he whimpered.

"Your too much" I said as I crossed my arms on my chest and continued walking.

"Oh love you too" he chuckled as he took his place next to me again.

"Ya, but I can't believe I forgot to study last night" I said looking up at Connor trying to ignore the flutter feeling in my stomach when he said love you.

"Ya that's not like you, what was so important?" he asked.

"Um well," I couldn't tell him about Niall, I know he is just a friend but that would still be awkward "I was hanging out with Audrey"

"Oh that brunette chick your always hanging out with, she's really hot" he said as he winked at me. I couldn't help but flinch when he said that. I know we were only friends but something inside me didn't like it.

"Ya, that's her" I said as we reached the main door.

"Oh well Mrs. Reed said that there will be test make-ups tomorrow after 2nd period, so if you want I can help you study tonight?" he said shoving his hands in his pockets "If you want, or need help"

"Ya sure, I have work until 4:00 so ill text you after?" I said adjusting my bag.

"Sure, well see you later Kate" he said as he smiled at me then walked out of the doors.

Wait what just happened....oh no Connor just asked my on a date and I said yes..no no no no what did I just do....wait I should be happy though I have wanted Connor to ask me on a date for forever, I need Audrey

I dig my phone out of my bag and dial her number.

"You have reached Audrey's voicemail, well you know what to do.......BEEP" played into my ear as I ended the call and started walking towards Starbucks.
