A M A N
[malay/indonesian → peace, tranquility]
Nathan lay on his back, his eyes fixed on the dim fluorescent light on the ceiling, his thoughts revolving around the event that took place last night. He kissed her again, and it seemed as though he had already did it long before she even met him.
Was she someone from his past?
He shook the thought away, and relived the moment when he placed his hands on hers. He never would've thought that Maya would pull him even closer, bringing their lips together softly and as they kissed, the only thing that was playing in his mind was the taste.
He was one hundred percent sure that he had felt that kiss before, but he was too scared to ask. What if it was all just in his mind? Nathan closed his eyes, sweat forming on the temple of his forehead as he thought of her.
Why did her voice sound so familiar? Why does her name sound familiar? Why did the kiss felt familiar? Why?
As usual, he never knew the answers to those questions. But he knew who would—Tahira.
