Chapter Fourty Six (LA)

Melissa P.O.V

"What are you's doing here?" He asked with the exact same smile he gave me the first time we met,

"Holid-"

"What are you doing here?" Matt interrupted taking a hold of my arm but not tightly,

"Matt it's okay" I whispered,

"Umm" Chase groaned a little then looked away,

"Matt go I'm fine I promise" he wouldn't move,

"Dude I'm not going to hurt her, I saved her life" Chase rolled his eyes then caught my contact, I turned around and gave Matt an assuring smile,

"Go" I mumbled then kissed his cheek, he relaxed back a little then turned around and joined the others who were starring at me,

"Alright let's sit over there" I giggled trying to brighten up the mood,

"So umm what brings you to LA?" He asked as we both sat down on the pearl white sand,

"Holiday, well Cam and Dakota live here so were all staying here for a while, yourself?"

"Well I'm living back at my old house, no one knows I'm there though" he looked away from me and starred at the ocean in front of us,

"I wish life could be easier" I mumbled looking at the sun which was starting to set,

"Same! I want my parents back and to go back to school and to be normal",

"But you can still be normal!" I half shouted grabbing his arm which made him jump,

"No I can't, look at me! Yeah I have enough money to live at my house, I have more than enough but I can't return back to my friends at school, they know my parents died and for all everyone in LA knows, I'v run away from Vegas. Never to return" I could feel my heart beat faster, yeah he has money but he will never have the complete happiness in life. A family! He will never be whole again.

"What about Alana?" I asked saying the devils name aloud,

"Haven't heard from her, she was trouble anyway",

"Come on" I smiled pulling his arms up.

"Mel where are you going?" I heard Matt from behind me,

"For a walk, I'll be back soon"

"But I can't trust him" he frowned grabbing my arm,

"Can you trust me?", he looked taken back his mouth dropped and his colour faded,

"Yes but not with him" he starred right into my eyes,

"If you love me you'll let me go" I whispered,

"But... Mel you can't do this, what if he takes you"

"I promise nothing's going to happen" I mumbled looking away, he was being very immature right now when I was being serious,

"Look at it like this, the faster you let me go the faster I'll come back", he stood there for a few seconds contemplating his choices,

"Fine" he groaned letting go of my arm and turning around,

"A but over protective ayye?" Chase asked rolling his eyes

"Hey I'm lucky to have him, overprotective is one of my favourite qualities in him, now let's go", we started walking of and stayed silent until we reached a fish and chip shop,

"Why are we here?" He asked as we stepped inside, it was one of those shops without a door so you could just walk in and straight to the counter,

"No idea" I mumbled, I wanted to find him a girl! So he wasn't lonely or hating life because he had no one,

"Mel I want to ask you something" he whispered in my ear, I turned to face him with a confused look,

"Yeah?" I questioned,

Chase P.O.V

I wanted to ask her to move in with me! To leave Virginia and come here, to be my girl and forget Matt, I know it would kill her but I remembered the way she looked at me in the room a week ago, her eyes how could I ever forget them! I was about to ask when we were interrupted,

"Hi my names May and I'm doing a survey" the blonde smiled with bright blue eyes and long hair, she had light freckles and dimples, she had to be a model for sure,

"Ofcourse" I smiled , she was beautiful! Her bright pink bikini fit her so well and the way she was leaning holding that notepad... Oh wow.

"So across the road, see right there" she pointed towards an abandoned shop, there was nothing there four walls, a window and a door.

"Yeah" Mel smiled,

"I work for a group of people who want to build either a pet shop or a clothing store, which one would you like to see?" She tapped the pen lightly on her leg,

"Clothing store" I smiled,

"I thought you'd choose that" she smiled,

"Oh yeah?" I asked,

"Yes" she smiled writing it down,

"Are you umm doing anything later?" I asked, I don't know how I built up the courage to say it but I did,

"Nope" she looked back up at me,

"Would you uhh.."

"Want to come here for dinner at seven? Sure" She winked then walked away, Mel gave me a cheeky smile then signed,

"So what did you want to ask?"

"Uh nothing..." I smiled to myself then got up, I need to never see Melissa or any of her friends again, she is honestly an amazing girl but I live here, this is my life, after today I'll never see her again.

Melissa P.O.V

He stood up and just looked at me, observing me which I found a little weird,

"Umm" I mumbled standing up aswell,

"I guess this is goodbye" he smiled,

"Oh uh yeah", goodbye? What happened to 'what are you doing here?' 'I need to ask you something', guys can never make up there minds! He opened his arms and wrapped them around me,

"Goodbye" I mumbled hugging him back, he let go after a few seconds then turned away, I followed him until we got to footpath, I walked of towards the beach and he walked of towards the blonde who was talking to some other people, I kept walking until I got to the beach then turned around and watched him flirt with the girl, they kept smiling at each other and in a way I was happy for him but then again he saved me, he was the one who tried to help me when people were trying to hurt me.

"Goodbye my friend" I whispered to myself then turned around, I could see Matt in the water with Alicia talking, I walked closer towards them since I couldn't see the others anywhere, there weren't as much people at the beach which was good.

I kept walking closer until Matt turned around and saw me, his smile grew as he kept talking, I couldn't help it but feel mine grow aswell, this is my family, he is apart of my family.
