Chapter Sixty Four

Melissa P.O.V

"Melissa wake up", I opened my eyes to see a familiar face...
"Dakota?" I questioned as I sat up,
"Hi" she smiled then wrapped her arms around me, I took a deep breath and hugged her back,
"Are you ready to go?" She asked,
"Go where?" I questioned getting up and towards my window,
"Home... To my place",
"I can't... I have to go to an orphanage tomorrow" I frowned taking one last look around my room,
"Well... Cam and I decided that maybe we can foster you... Matt called us up last night and said that's a thing, so I called a number that he gave me and asked about you, Matt wanted you safe and with people that you love since you couldn't stay with his family, I mentioned that we knew you and you'd be in better care with us", she smiled and stood up, she grabbed my backpack and bags then started walking downstairs, I took all this in and felt a faint smile, but Matt? What about Matt? His better without me anyway... And school? I took another deep breath and followed Dakota, she had opened the front door and gave me the key that was placed underneath the doormat,
"You can close the door" she nodded, I put the key in and twisted it, then returned it back to its spot. I walked over to the Espinosa's house and walked in,
"Matt?" I called out, I heard running coming from upstairs and then a halt, Matt stood at the end of the staircase looking down at me, he slowly walked down each step as more tension grew, everything that I was going to say had disappeared, I don't even know why I'm in this house, why did I come here? His better without me!
"Yes?" He asked as he threw his hands through his hair, it made me weak when he does that,
"I... Uhm..." I froze for a minute then looked away, I looked back at him and took a breath,
"I guess this is goodbye" I mumbled,
"What?" He asked,
"Thank you for everything... You are everything to me, and more! But things have changed and we just can't be with each other, I do love you! I do! And I know were only young and everything but I will never forget you or your family, I will never forget us and the memories and everything, this hurts so much, I never ever want to say goodbye but right now.. I have to" I felt a tear form and then fall down my cheek, he noticed and took a deep breath,
"Mel this isn't goodbye",
"What do you mea-"
"Melissa we have to go the plane will be leaving in an hour!"
"Wait but his still talki-"
"We have to go!" Dakota shouted grabbing my arm then pulling me outside, I ripped my arm out of her grip and ran to Raphael, I gave him a big hug and then I ran to Matts mum who just watched, she gently ran her hand through my hair and held me close, I did the same to Matts sister and both his brothers, then I saw Matt standing at the door, I hadn't said goodbye yet! I needed to say bye for the last time! But it wouldn't be the last, it couldn't be!
"Fifty Three minutes! Melissa come on!" Dakota called out from the car, I didn't care I just needed to say goodbye, I ran over to Matt and gave him a hug, he felt frozen as if he didn't expect it, he gently hugged back then let me go, I let go and took one last look in his eyes they were like crystals, shinny and sparkly, I ran of towards the car and got in. That was the last time I saw him.
