Chapter Ten

Melissa P.O.V

She was looking at us in awe then disgust, I tried to let go of Matts hand but he was holding it so tight,
"So Matthew and Melissa... Well isn't this cute"
"Who are you?" I hear someone ask from behind, it was Nash.
"Oh my gosh you're Nash Grier?" She says trying to contain her squeal
"Yes I am" I hear him mutter,
"I'm Alana", she says, I look over at Matt and he's watching them, I tighten my grip on his hand for a minute so he looks at me but he doesn't,
"Well I'll leave you to it, see you around Mel" she says before leaning into my ear, I was in shock so I didn't move, she could have hit me and I would have just fell and not even notice,
"I'll get Matt back, if it's the last thing I do!" she whisper yelled in my ear, she smiles and then turns away and walks off, as soon as she's out of sight Matt turns to me,
"what did she say?", I didn't want to answer his question because he would worry,
"Umm she said... Congratulations?" I kind of asked with a little worry, he knew I was lying so he asked again,
"Mel tell me please", I couldn't not tell him, he was perfect and irresistible,
"She said.. She will get you.. Back if it's the last thing she will do..." He nodded his head and we walked to the car,
"Since it's only seven do you want to do a little road trip? Just drive around for a while and take some silly vines", Cam asked, the guys nodded their heads, I just didn't do anything, it was Nash and Cam in the front, Matt and I in the back, I looked out the window for about five minutes then felt tired, Matt was scrolling through his phone so I leaned on his arm and watched, he put an arm around me and continued to scroll until he saw Alana's post on twitter, "@itsmattespinosa saw him today, along with @nashgrier, love you boys" I didn't care, I did a little but Matt's mine and not hers, he noticed I was looking so he clicked her profile and unfollowed her, I smiled and closed my eyes.

Matthew P.O.V

We were in the car all us guys talking, I looked at Mel and she was asleep, I took a photo.. Just to use for you know.. Blackmail.. Just kidding, I think I'll tell my fans soon that she's my girlfriend, I'll give it a week. I was so annoyed with Alana, I thought maybe I could be friends with her again, it was no lie I had some feelings for her left, even though we only dated for a few months, but now, I don't know what to think because she's going to ruin life for Mel, I can't let that happen, we have two weeks left till summer vacation! I have to spend a week away from Mel and then the week after go to California with Mel and then.... Too much thinks are happening! I think I won't see her for a while since her brother's still a baby, she will have to go all around America because her family's at different locations, see what you learn in fifth grade from family trees. I'm never giving Alana a second chance again, that's it!
Cameron pulls up to what looks like a lake?

I kiss Mels cheek and then her forehead and all around her face until I get to her lips and she kisses back, I laugh and she does too, "such a tease Matteo" she says and gets up,
"Where are we Cam?", she asks,
"This is the lake that I used to come to with someon-"
"I used to come here" she says and gets out of the car, thank God she cut me off, I had no idea what to tell her, Alana took me here every week before we started dating, she was so innocent then but now... Now she's the devil. I got out of the car and followed Mel, she started running to a tree, I stopped where she was and read what she was looking at, it was engraved in a tree stump.

"My mum wrote this when I was little, she always said that if anything bad happened there was always something good because the negatives need to add up with the positivity," I watched her speak, her eyes sparkling unless they were tears but I'm sure they were sparkling,
"you were my positive" I say and kiss her cheek, she smiled at me and we walk over to Nash and Cameron. Some girls meters away from us came over towards the lake who none of us knew or had seen before, then I noticed one of the girls, great and we've already begun...
"Hey Nashy I saw your post on twitter and thought I should bring a few friends, nice choice of place Matt, old habits die hard ah," she says and walks towards us. Oh no...
"Cameron brought us here, why are you even here? Stalking us?" I know that was a little mean but she was annoying me. Her smile faded and she walked back to her friends before calling out,
"hey Mel can you check what's behind that tree?" I know Alana's smiling because of the tone in her voice, why! Mel looked so confused, I tightened her hand and she looked at me with her beautiful eyes, we walked back to Cam and Nash but I noticed Mel walk away to the tree, probably curious, prepare for something big.. I watched her eyes scan the tree, she turned around and looked directly at me, what was on that tree anyway? She looked a little hurt but she smiled the whole time walking towards me.
"Matt I-I don't care whatever's on the tree, as long as I can call you mine now, the past is the past whatever", I smile and nod my head, bringing my lips to hers.
"Are you going to come swimming love birds?" We both smiled and walked over towards them.

I took my shirt off and was about to go in when Mel pulled me aside,
"Matt I didn't bring any bathers?" I look at my top and hand it to her,
"Here wear mine" I said and smiled, she smiled back and took my top, about five minutes later she came to the edge of the lake and dipped her legs in then slowly her waist, oh no this isn't going to end well, Nash ducked underwater and appeared just at her hip, Cameron swam next to her aswell, she looked at me with a help look, I laughed and watched what they were doing, they were just talking? I swam closer and Mel disappeared underwater, since the waters not see through it makes it really hard to tell where she was. I look around and she appeared a meter from me, I swam over to her and kissed her nose, she giggled and laid back, she put her hand in the air for me to grab, I took it and laid back so that we were floating, it was so beautiful for about five minutes, I saw her looking at my body a few times, and then at me, since I couldn't do the same I complimented her bathing suit,
"that top looks great on you",
"Really do you think so? Some guy just gave it to me", she wants to play that card huh,
"Must be a pretty cool guy, since that top is young and reckless", I heard her giggle a bit and then I heard splashing.
"Hold your breath ok"
"Wait wh-"
I looked over to see what happened and Mel was gone,
"Hold your breath"
"wait wh-"
Now I was gone, I swam back up to the surface, Nash and Cam where laughing, I look over and Mel was laughing too, I was so confused but then I realised why they were laughing! I felt my head and there was grass or well weeds! I ducked back underwater and swam back up shaking my hair so that they all got wet! who was laughing now? I started laughing and they looked pissed, then a splash war started! I got out to get a drink from the car and guess who was there....

"What do you want Alana?" I said without looking at her, I opened the car but she put a hand on mine, I pulled back and met her gaze.
"Seriously what do you want? I have a girlfriend"
"I will make life hard for her, you do know that?" A smirk started to form on her lips.
"Leave her alone, she hasn't even done anything"
"You know she used to like you, the whole reason we stopped staying friends was because of you, I chose you over her"
"What's your point?" I ask crossing my arms,
"My point is I'd do it all over again just for you Matt"
"I'd choose Mel over you, at least she doesn't cheat and she has a better personality!" I say raising my voice, I felt like a little kid trying to win an argument with their parent, I wasn't going to say she was prettier, her smile gave me butterflies, her tears made my heart break, her kiss sent me to the moon and her hugs brought me back again, even though those things were all true I wasn't going to say it, I don't want to look soft.
"I never did cheat" she says looking away,
"I saw you twice, once with Jeromy and again with Nathan, how many other guys were there that I didn't see! Seriously Alana just get over me you'll never have me again" I'm getting so pissed of right now, she walks closer to me and leans in towards my face,
"You're so hot when you're angry", she leaned in and tried to kiss me, I'm not sure what to do.

By the time I was thinking all this she leans over closer and our lips almost meet, I pushed her and walk off. "Don't ever try that again, don't talk to me or Mel ever again, stay away from me", she walks away in disappoint, I can't believe I almost let her kiss me. All my feelings are gone for her, I walk back over to the lake I just need to talk to the guys! I get in the lake and swim about fifty meters out from land, I motion Cam and Nash to come, they swim over and I start to explain,
"Alana came over to m-"
"Dude we saw everything through the car window, you were at the car and Alana came over and kissed you, you're so lucky Mel didn't see, why would you do that to her?" Nash said,
"I didn't even kiss her"
"Oh" Cameron said.
"She tried to but I pushed her away"
"Oh it didn't look like that, good cause Mel's a keeper seriously, what are you going to do?" Cam says in a serious tone.
"I have no idea, she's annoying me so much, if I see her again one more time today I'm going to leave, seriously she's pissing me off."
They start laughing and a splash war begins, I look over to see if I can find Mel, she meets my eyes and smiles at me, I return the smile and swim back to her leaving Cam and Nash. She walks in the water and is at knee length, I stand up and run towards her then pick her up and run into the water, I dive towards the water still holding her, "MATT" I hear her scream before ducking her underwater, when we get up two seconds later we start laughing then I kiss her,
"Guys stop it, we don't have our girlfriends, I'm going to make a rule that you can't kiss until tomorrow, if you break the rule you can't see each other for a week, if you don't break the rule then you can dare Nash to do anything", Cam says,
"That'll be hard but we accept" Mel says, I look over and smile at her, I gave her an air kiss and she laughed, it's almost ten so we get back to the car, all four of us soaking, the car ride was loud! We ended up at a McDonalds drive through, we ate our food in the car and drove home. Nash put some music on from his iPhone and we just started singing. When we got back Mels parents still weren't home so we just chilled at hers for a while.
