Chapter Eight

Matthew P.O.V

Melissa and I walked out of the pool hand in hand, then Nash and Cameron walked in front of us... Hand in hand. I heard Mel laugh and I smiled, she's finally mine and I plan to keep it like that.
"Hi" I hear a girl say walking over towards us.
"Hey, girls name I dont know?", Nash says, Mel then let's go of my hand and walks to the cafe shop, probably to get my bag. The girl looks so familiar... The blonde hair.. She turned around to look at me and there are those dark blue eyes, yeah it's defiantly her! She walked a meter away from me,
"hey Matt what are you doing here?", how does she know my name, this isn't going to go down well.
"Umm hi, do I know you?" I ask even though I knew who she was,
"I saw the vine Cameron posted of Nash trying to get my number and then when I saw you all I thought I should come over and say hey",
"how do you know my name?"
"Cam tagged you in the vine so I'm guessing you're Matthew?", she was actually pretty cute, her dark blue eyes sparkled- wait what am I thinking I have a girlfriend!
"Ahem... Matt you still there?", she asked
"Oh yeah sorry and my name is Matthew, nice to meet you umm, and your name is?"
"I know your name is Matthew", she says and starts laughing
"So what is your name?" I ask,
"Oh you really want to know?", she said winking..
"I have a girlfriend..."
"What? I didn't even say anything, you wanted to know my name", she is so turning this on me, 'I didn't even say anything?'
"Umm okay, I'll see you later Nash and Cam, I'll go back home with Mel", I say walking off,
"No stay", the nameless girl says, she grabs my arm but I try and move it away,
"I really need to go sorry", I walk off and Mels walking towards me, I start to smile and then feel a hand grab me... Again seriously! I turn around and the same girl is standing there with my hand in hers, "please stay"
"Uhh hi I'm Melisaa, nice to meet you umm.."
"Oh hello", the girl says dropping my hand,
"I didn't umm get your name?" Melissa asks, handing me my backpack, she must of not seen her take my hand,
"Because I didn't give it to you", woah she's being a little rude,
"Okay well nice meeting you and thanks for being in my vine, seeya", Nash says walking towards Mel and I turning us around,
"Yeah bye", I hear Cam say and walk over to us
"Who was that? Why was she.. kinda like I don't know rude?" Mel asked
"No idea, oh by the way Cameron drove here so you don't have to walk unless..." Oh no what was Nash thinking...
"Unless wha-"
"No Mel don't ask that!" I said with my hand in front of her mouth, I could feel her laugh a little.
"Why Matt, what's the worst he could say?" Mel mumbles into my hand.
"Lets make a bet", Nash says this time Cams laughing
"Oh no this isn't going to go well" I say, because it really isn't,
"number or dare?" Nash squeals acting all girly.

"I'll play, whats that?" Oh no why Mel! Nash explains the rules to her and she's in but she turns to me first "is it okay Matt? I mean I wont call them, its just for fun right? And..." She walks up and whispers into my ear "If I win I'll make Nash walk home, we can record it", I laugh a little because I could imagine it, I nod to her and she walks back to Nash. "Okay so that guy over there with the beanie", Nash points to a guy who looked seventeen even though Mel's only sixteen, I'm not sure when her birthday is I'm pretty sure it's soon though.

Mel walks over to the guy and Nash puts the timer on, Cam grabs his phone and starts to vine, Nash and I walk backwards so its not obvious so we could hear her.
"Hey I've seen you around and was just wondering if I could get your number", she said obviously lying.
"Umm I just arrived five minutes ago, nice try though but for someone as pretty as you then sure", I look over at Nash's time and it shows 00:08.1, nice! Mel walks back over to us and laughs a little,
"Well Nash and hmm who else... Matt!" We all look at each other and Cam starts to laugh.
"I couldn't chose Cameron, he's driving" she said poking out her tongue, why that little cheeky savage.

Melissa P.O.V

It was so funny when I got his number, the look on their faces were priceless,
"Well Nash and hmm who else... Matt!" They all looked at each other and Cam started laughing.
"I couldn't choose Cameron, he's driving" I said poking my tongue out,
"Well your loss is my gain see ya Matt" Cam said walking towards me. We walked together towards his car in silence which wasn't awkward but just a little weird, "So Cameron Dallas do you have a girlfriend?" I ask, I regretted it in my mind but at least it was a conversation starter.
"Yeah I do"
"What? Who? I haven't seen her in any of your vines", we get to the car and he opens my door for me then walks to the other side
"aw thankyou", I say. He gives me a smile,
"her name is Dakota and we have been together for a few years but I don't really talk a lot about her, like I love her a lot but if I show her off too much she will get hate and I don't want her getting that, I love my followers and everything but some girls are aggressive and I'v seen some really like rude things so I still post photos of her but I caption it as my best friend because she is".
"Love the essay" I smile, I start to think about my friends and how much I miss them being all interstate and all it's quite hard, I've got a friend called Dakota how weird, he looks at me and starts the car, "So will I get hate?" I ask,
"I don't know, honestly depends how his fans take it but just ignore it! Don't let it get to you seriously", he smiles and starts to drive. We must of been talking for a while because Nash and Matt are walking up the street, we were a few meters from them when Cam slows down, "Mel can you record this?" he asks, handing me his phone, I nod and start to record, "Aw look who we found on the side of the road" Cam says, I then switch the camera to Nash and Matt, they smile,
"give us a lift" Nash says, Cam slows down then says
"Psych" and speeds off. I start to think about summer and then realise that I really need to give Alicia and Dakota a call, Alicia's from North Carolina and Dakota's from California, I miss them so much we have been best friends since well... forever? Our parents were best friends and then they all moved around, my parents would take me to California sometimes and North Carolina during summer, likewise for them.
