A promise is a promise. Even one made by a rosy cheeked, bright eyed child to another.
'Do you promise to take care of me forever and ever?'
The other child replied full of promise and meaning- 'Of course.'
And that's how it all began.

Alex's P.O.V.
'Hey Andrew?' I asked .
'Yeah?' replied the short, red-headed girl lying on my bed.
'What do you think about that new kid, what's his name again?'
'What about him? He had such weird hair. Wait, do you like him? Replied Andrew, grinning.
Also Mr Weird-Hair's name happens to be Ashton ' she added.
'No! I don't! Besides, I like someone else.'
'Wait. What? Who? Is this new?!'
'Eerrrmmm. Not exactly.'
'Alexandra Kathryn Stilt!'
'Yeah, Diana Christine Drew.'
'Shut up! You know I hate that name,' Andrew glared at me and I grinned. I was well acquainted with the fact.I frequently called her that just to annoy her.
'And who the hell is this guy? Do I know him? Is he a senior? Is he hot? Wait. Is it Ryan? Ha. No way, he's totally in love with what's-his-name? How about Ted? Or Chris? No way! You are not allowed to even look at Chris after what he did to you. He's such a ...'
'Calm down.' I sighed 'It's not any of them.'
'Then who?' she squealed and started to jump on the bed.
I winked and said with a little smirk 'Wouldn't you like to know.'
At the exact same moment, we heard the trademark pounding on the stairs and then Jay, aka Jason Drew, Andrew's twin brother, ran into the room.
'GUESS WHO JUST FINISHED GTA 5? That's right. This hot guy with the strongest quiff game!' he said, looking very proud.
His sudden entrance caused Andrew to jump and drop her phone to the ground and me to start laughing at Jay's adorableness and Andrew's clumsiness. Did I mention that I have a gigantic crush on Jay?
'You wanna go out for dinner?' I asked the two twins instead of voicing my wonderful thoughts which included me thanking my lucky stars that Diana would probably forget and drop the conversation.
'KFC!!' they both screamed at the exact same moment. I rolled my eyes and wondered why I actually called them my best friends.
'I'm still vegetarian, you know.' I said out loud.
