Alex's P.O.V
The ride back home was sorta normal as we argued over whether white chocolate was better than dark chocolate or not. Diana would always get annoyed during these arguments.
As I was just about to get out of the car, outside our gate, he said if you dare come a little closer ( a/n just kidding.. I love that song... stay by Rihanna)
he said 'So um it's just you and me today... Andrew's at Ashton's place for some weird star wars thingy.. so um I think we should talk. '
I nodded and said 'Bring your homework over... we'll do that as well.. '
He smiled and said 'See you in 10..'

I walked up to my bedroom and changed into a pair of jean shorts and a loose white sweat shirt. My parents were both at work and so I had the house to myself for a while.
I was just about to text Jay asking him why he was taking so long, when I heard a knock on my balcony door. I laughed as I realised who it was. Only one person jumped into my balcony like that instead of entering through the front door like a civilised person.
'Hi Jay... ' I said laughing as I let him in.
'So what's the plan? ' I ask him.
He said 'Okay so let's do the homework first, then dinner and then we talk.. '
'Diana?... ' I trailed off knowing he would know I was asking him when she would be back.
'Yeah... she's coming at like 10... I can't believe mom's letting her stay there beyond curfew... but then again Diana probably played the it's a star wars thing!.... or she didn't tell mum she'd be late... which means I'll have to cover for her.... but whatever the point is she's back at 10.'
'Oh okay... so mission homework begins!!! 'I sang.
He chuckled and I began to do those weird physics numericles.

We'd both long finished our respective homework amidst all the laughing and joking, trying our best to avoid the upcoming conversation.
We'd even eaten dinner while watching a Tom and Jerry marathon (yeah... childish.... I know..).
He sighed and said 'I guess we should talk.. '
'Yeah.. we should. Come on 'I said as I took him by the hand leading him into my balcony.
When we were younger Diana, Jay and I would sit in my balcony and read to each other. Our mum's figured we'd actually learn something.
Jay smiled probably remembering the same thing. We both sat down our legs dangling down the edge of the balcony.
'So um...' I started nervously.
'Lexi.. I should probably tell you something.. but before that you'd have to promise we won't stop being the best friends ever ' Jay said really fast.
'Jason Gabriel Drew... calm down and yes nothing will ever ruin our friendship. ' I stated much more calmly than I was feeling.
'So um Lexi.. I'm gonna say this... actually wait.. ' he said as he got up and to my surprise jumped into his own balcony and into his room.
He came back out with a guitar and he jumped back into my balcony with it.
He probably saw the confusion in my face as he sent me a reassuring smile. He strummed a few chords and then began to sing OUT OF MY LEAGUE by Stephen Speak. This was my absolute favorite song. I smiled and hummed along.
