Alex's P.O.V
'The purple one! 'Diana said.
'No! The white and black one!' Liz argued persistently as I sighed. This had been going on for the past 20 minutes.
I had a date in an hour and a half and my wonderful friends were arguing about what I was going to wear.
Diana wanted me to wear a purple sheath dress. It was really pretty one with a thin black belt around it. Liz on the other hand wanted me to wear a black and white outfit. It was a cute black shorts and a lacy white top with a silver belt around the middle.
'You know what? I'll close my eyes and pick one. I'll wear the other another time. Okay?' I offered.
Both of them seemed okay with it so I shut my eyes And reached forward and touched one outfit.
'Yes! ' I heard Liz squeal.

'You ready Lexi? ' Jay asked as he walked into my house.
'Yeah.I'll be down in a second! ' I said as I walked down with my phone and the silver shoes Diana insisted I wear.
Jay looked at my and smiled.
'You look beautiful Lexi... '
I smiled back.
'Now come on, we don't want to be late on our first date do we? 'he asked with a teasing smile.
I laughed and asked 'So where is this sacred first date to be held
Jay-Jay?'
He just winked and said 'It's a surprise for a reason cherry. '
As soon as we were in the car he pulled out a blindfold and said
'This goes around your eyes. '
'Huh? So I can't see where we're going? '
'What's the fun in that? I wanna surprise you Lexi.. ' Jay said rolling his eyes.
'Now let me put it on.' he added tying it around my eyes.
**************************
'We there yet? ' I asked impatiently.
Jay chuckled and took my hand as he led me out of the car.
'You're not letting me pull this off now are you? ' I asked sighing.
I only got a chuckle in reply.
He led me to wherever we were going. My feet however, seemed to know this path. It felt like this was a place my heart and feet frequently visited.
These paths were obviously ones that I had frequented. He suddenly stopped and whispered in my ears
'I hope you'll like this Lexi... '
Then he untied the blindfold.
I gasped barely recognising the place. We were at our spot. Except everything was utterly different. The setting sun's rays still set off a golden glow all around, but there were also candles all around adding more light, love and warmth to the surroundings.
There was an orange blanket placed by the water which also shone with a golden glow. Propped up against a boulder was Jay's guitar and next to it was a picnic basket.
I felt tears brimming in my eyes. I was honestly speechless, this boy was too romantic for his own good. Every gesture of his made me feel so special and loved.
