Alex's P.O.V
He still hasn't called or anything.
I made Diana watch random Romantic movies yesterday to "get my mind off of things ".
Surprisingly she agreed though I think it was entirely for my benefit.
I could tell she was mad at Jay. Our parents had had another long conversation and came to the conclusion that it would be better if Jay and I stayed away from each other especially since I was getting engaged to Chris.
It hurt. I wonder if all of this was a joke. He just played around with my heart. Only Marcus used to do that. Only he makes this clear to all his conquests.
I don't know about Jay. He has always been by my side and had my back. I never thought he would do this today me. Not after all this. He was my knight in shining armour.
As I sat on the window sill in my room, my mother and father walked in.
'Alex, We're sorry. There's nothing that we can do. '
My father said sighing.
They shared a glance and then my mother said 'Honey, apparently Chris wants to talk to you. So you'll be meeting him in an hour or so. '
That did it.
'Are you insane mum? I do not want to meet that douche! Not now, not ever! My heart has just been broken and stomped on,and you want me to meet that idiot? '
I yelled.
My parents looked at each other again and My father said
'Alex, just meet the boy. Jay needs space. It is well and good he broke up with you. You're getting married to another boy! We really need that deal honey... I'm sorry.. I love you and I always will.'
Saying so he just left the room with my mum.
A few minutes later Andrew ran into the room.
'Oh god Alex. I heard. I'm sorry but your mum said you have to. I tried. '
she said hugging me.
'Jay has himself locked up in his room and I talked to him. '
Unfazed with my lack of response she continued.
'Alex, he thinks you're not going to try and stop it. He's just trying to make it easier for you.I've tried knocking some sense into his thick skull but he won't budge.'
He knew I'd rather go with this than argue and fight. So he didn't believe in me. I still wonder, was all this a prank?
I asked her the same.
'Alex he loves you! Why can't you just believe that?'
Why did life have to be so unfair?
I managed to dress myself and look moderately okay.I then saw the text the Asshole sent telling me to meet him at the beach.
Diana was fuming. I refused to believe her. If Jay cared, I would have known. It's obvious now that he doesn't.
'Andrew, I'm leaving. I want to get this over with. I'm tired. ' I said weakly.
She just sighed and hugged me. She then left.
Tired, I dragged myself to the beach. It was a good 20 minutes of a walk and I managed to find him near the restaurant by the water.
'Hello Alex. ' Chris smirked infuriatingly and said.
I wanted nothing more than to wipe that smirk off his face.
