Alex's P.O.V
The rest of the week went by in a blur. After our sleepover on Monday night, (yeah I know, who's stupid enough to do that on a school night?) , Diana and I could barely stay awake in school. I managed to hold myself up but Diana literally fell asleep on her desk during math.
I turned to Ryan who was sitting next to me, just in time to see him throw a paper ball on Diana's head. She groaned and looked up sleepily. Ash, who was sitting next to her, started to snicker earning him a glare from Andrew.
Good god, these two were too cute... even while glaring at him she couldn't contain a hint of a smile.

Lunch on Tuesday was the first public appearance Jay and I were making as I couple. I was expecting different kinds of reactions as it was no secret that we were best friends and that Jay had gotten so mad after what Chris had done to me that he beat him up till Chris was battered and blue.
Chris hadn't only cheated on me once, but multiple times. That little tidbit found its way to me after I broke up with him.
The reason why I broke up with him didn't end there. Actually I'm not sure if Chris himself remembers this because he was wasted. We were at some random party and I'd gone there with him alone. There was no one else that I knew at the party. But I was okay with it. As long as Chris was there it was fine.
But boy was I wrong. He drank.A lot. I don't know if he was conscious of what he was doing as he dragged me to an empty bedroom and pushed me on the bed. I wasn't drunk and I knew very well where this was going. But that was not a path I was willing to tread on. so I pushed him off of me and tired to run out. That's when he hit me.
It wasn't just a little push. He hit me with a bottle of beer and left the room. Probably in the search of another conquest. The disgusting liquid drenched me and the sharp glass cut through the skin on my stomach. It wasn't too deep or anything, because of the thick material of my dress, it just made a few scars and scratches.
Somehow I had managed to leave the place and I called Aubrey. She lived close by and was there within minutes. She literally cried when she saw me and immediately took me home. Her mother was a doctor and so she knew how to deal with this stuff. So she patched me up.I told her everything and we both cried. I begged her not to tell anyone, because I knew Chris wasn't in his senses when he did that to me. I stayed the night at her place.
I didn't tell anyone about it. I don't even know why. I just felt like it would ruin any future he had and it would also ruin us. Sure I didn't like him as much as Jay, but I honestly did really really like him.
Within a week I caught him making out with some random girl at a party, used that as an excuse and broke up with him.
I never told him or anyone except Aubrey about it. She had wanted to report it, but I refused. I thought I was in love with him back then.
But you know everything has changed...
Even though Jay didn't know these details, he'd been pretty mad and he punched the lights out of Chris after I broke up with him.
This fact was well known to the entire school and so I was awaiting their reactions.
So when we walked into the cafeteria hand-in-hand whoever saw us fell into silence and someone even raised their eyebrows.
It was only when Jay and I stopped in front of our table, and Jay bent down to kiss me that everyone stopped talking and stared at us.
We only stopped when we heard a crash. It was doofus Marcus who had fallen off a chair in shock. Ryan dropped the sandwich he was eating, Aubrey dropped her phone, Liz who seemed to snap out of the trance she was in smirked and Ash wolf whistled. The only sane person at our table was Diana, because we'd already told her.
