Rakim dropped me off at home and I began walking upstairs until Ma called my name.

Hey come here real quick I want to talk to you. She said as I walked over to the couch.

How are you doing?

"I could be better but I don't feel as bad as I did this morning."

Good, I really meant what I said about us being there for you. I love you like my own Yasmine don't ever feel like you can't come talk to me. She embraced me in a hug as I nodded.

Also I'll be gone for a couple days next week but I'll be back before your court thing. I got you a lawyer and they want to meet with you Friday morning and I know you'll be out of school by then so I hope that cool.

"Okay." I said letting out a deep sigh.

They're on your side so they're not going to put you in a bad situation. I nodded.

If you're hungry there's some chicken and stuff on the stove but I'm going to work on some work stuff.

We both got up and went our separate ways her to her room and me the the kitchen. I made me a small plate and ate before going up to my room to shower and do a little bit more studying.

I got out of the shower and put on a big white tee and some Pink boy short underwear. I grabbed the flash cards out of my book bag and went and sat on my bed studying the cards. I was not a good test taker so studying was something I had to do to make sure I got at least a B on a test. I heard the door open downstairs and knew it was Briana so I walked down there.

"So what did you and Ferg do today?" I said making her jump.

Damn you scared me. She held her chest.

And we just ate and went to the park. What did you do all day?

"Nothing." I lied because I knew if I told her about Rocky and I hanging out she was going to act a fool.

I heard my phone ringing so I ran back upstairs.

"Hello?"

Hey it's Erica I was just calling to tell you that I'll be sending over the pictures we took soon. Also the interview is going to be held at my building in the conference room.

"Okay that sounds great what time in the morning exactly?"

The email said 10am and you can dress how ever you want.

"Okay good thanks for letting me know."

Alright good night see you next Saturday.

"Bye."

I hung up and went back down stairs and seen Briana smashing on dinner. I sat across from her laughing and she looked up at me with low eyes.

"You're high aren't you?" I laughed.

Maybe just a little bit. She made a measurement with her fingers.

"Bullshit Ferg is turning you out." I laughed even more.

Well there's a first time for everything ya know.

"So are y'all a thing or is it still top secret?"

I mean I guess kinda you can say we're talking. I kinda like him I think he likes me we just enjoy each other's company.

"Well it's okay to take it slow and see where y'all end up."
