We walked into the restaurant together and the hostess seated us. The waiter passed us our menus, but I knew Isaac couldn't see anything so I had to read the choices for him.

"Do you want steak?" I asked beginning to read the menu aloud to him.

"I'm really sorry if this is awkward for you, Hazel."

"I would actually rather have chicken." He said matter-of-factly.

"Ok would you like it with broccoli? Or green beans?"

"Green beans."

"And Gus. I would name him that if he was mine too."

"Ya, it seemed like he needed to be my mini Augustus, but you know, not."

"I can see its complicated in you head."

"Yes, very."

Then he told me.
